Choosing Love (StonyXReader)

Chapter 2

The dance was a few months ago and Y/N and Steve were together. No one could see why she was with him. No matter where they went they were looked at.

Steve had a plan to set up a picnic just for the two of them. Tonight was the night he was gonna tell her he loves her.

"Well Buck, how do I look?" Y/N asks her brother as she twirled in her dress.

"You look nice. Hey why dont you go finish getting ready and I'll call you with Steve arrives." Bucky says.

"Okay." Y/N says.

She walked up to her room to finish getting ready. Bucky wanted a few words with his best friend before he lets his sister goes with him.

All Steve would talk about for a few days was doing something big for Y/N and Bucky didnt like that.

Steve went to knock on the door, but Bucky opened it right away. He gently nudged Steve back a bit and closed the door.

"Buck whats wrong?" Steve asks.

"I just want whats best for her. So please tell me you dont plan on getting.. Intimate with my baby sister." Bucky says.

"Buck... I... Listen tonight.. I plan on telling Y/N that I love her." Steve says.

"Oh.. Thank god. I thought you wanted to.. I was gonna say just because your two years older then her doesnt mean you can lay down on her. The I love you thing is much better. Congrats Pal. Take care of my sister." Bucky says and patted Steve's shoulder.

"N/N, Steve's here!" Bucky yells opening the door.

Y/N walked downstairs and Steve was at awe at Y/N. He could just tell her right there, but he wanted it to be special.

"You look beautiful, Doll." Steve says.

"Thanks, Stevie." Y/N says and kisses his cheek.

"We better get going." Steve says.

"Okay. I'll see you later Buck." Y/N says.

"Okay angel. You keep her safe and have her home by 10." Bucky says.

"Not a minute later." Steve says.

Y/N gave brother a quick hug and then left with Steve. Steve took her to the place where he set up the picnic.

"Its beautiful. Steve you didnt have to do all this." Y/N says.

"Yes I did. You deserve it." Steve says.

They just sat their and Steve placed his arm around Y/N's shoulder.

"I... I... I.. I lo... I like how beautiful the stars look." Steve says.

"Stevie.." Y/N says with a nervous voice.

"Yeah, Doll?" Steve questions.

"Dont get scared." Y/N says.

"I wont.. Are you okay?" Steve asks.

"Yeah.. Stevie, I want you to know that I love you. Now you dont have to say it back..." Y/N says.

"No, N/N I love you too. Thats what I wanted to tell you tonight. Guess you beat me too it. I love you very much." Steve says.

He leaned over to her and kissed her lips gently. After their kiss Steve placed his forehead to hers.

"I love you and I'll never stop." Steve says.

"I love you and I always will." Y/N says.

They sat there for awhile staring into each others eyes. Then Steve took Y/N back home to her house. Bucky was already waiting for them.

"Okay Rogers, give her a sweet kiss and then you little lady go to bed." Bucky says.

"Be quiet jerk. I'll see you tomorrow Y/N." Steve says.

"Yeah tomorrow." Y/N says.

The two leaned in and kissed one another. It was a sweet long kiss that would have gone longer if Bucky hadnt walked over to them and picked Y/N up carrying her inside.

Bucky knew Steve was good for his sister and he knew they wouldnt hurt one another, but that didnt mean he had to watch them suck on each other's faces.
