"Annabeth and Vivienne," he greeted. "What can I do for you?"

Taking out the parchment from my jeans pocket, I held it out for him to take it.

"This letter was delivered through an owl," I explained. "The both of us couldn't make out the words so we thought that it would be best that you read it first."

Chiron nodded thoughtfully and opened the letter, starting reading the contents by himself. We waited patiently for the centaur to finish, and when he did, he had a troubled look.

"Come with me, Vivienne."

Casting a glance towards Annabeth to reassure her, I followed Chiron. Other demigods stared after our retrieving figures questioningly, whispering to one another. I once again arrived at the woods, out of ear-shot from the others.

"What did the letter say?" I couldn't help but blurt out.

The old man chuckled, an amused smile curled on his lips. "A very interesting letter that no demigod before has received," he replied. "Here, look again."

Looking at the envelope sceptically, I gripped it firmly and once again started reading, realizing that now it was translated in ancient Greek.

There was another piece of parchment of information about things I need and I couldn't help but stare at the two letters in disbelief.

"Wizardry? Witchcraft? Are you serious?" I said incredulously. "This can't be happening."

"We are living myths, Vivienne. Do you think witches and wizards are the most bizarre thing in this world?" Chiron tells me.

Thinking about all the things that happened to me, I shook my head. "No, it's not the weirdest thing I saw in my life." Tilting my head, I read the list of equipment needed for school. "How am I supposed to get these? And how am I supposed to read all those books?"

"Well, I can ask the headmaster to clear things out, so there's nothing to worry about for now. And we still have three to four months to get yourself ready," Chiron said, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "Now, only worry about getting to breakfast in time to eat properly."

Swallowing all of my questions, I answered. "Okay."

Standing on Camp Half-Blood Hill, inside the barrier, I waited for the guardian who's going to lead me to a place called Diagon Alley. Wearing ripped jeans and a purple t-shirt, holding a big, puffy down jacket for the awaiting cold.

Suddenly, I heard a faint pop, outside the protective barrier. In reflex, I unsheathed my dagger and gripped it tightly. Squinting my eyes, I saw a human figure walking towards the gate. As the person came into view, I took in their appearance; it was a man around his sixty or seventy, wearing a grey robe, along with a pair of half-moon glasses, and a neatly trimmed long beard. He oddly reminded me of Chiron for some sort of reason that I can't place a finger on.
