Chapter 1 the night 

HARLOWS POV
It was 4 in the morning I couldn't sleep I was so terrified for today I would be going back to me
dads place it never really felt like home. I decided to get up of my bed and go up to the roof and
watch the sunrise. Watching the sunrise is my favorite thing to do It's so peaceful. I was getting
really anxious after The sun came up. Then the flashback hit me
Flashback
I was sitting in my room on my phone then my brother came in "I have a plan" I looked at Jonny
in shock I asked him " what is it" Jonny looked me in the eyes " where leaving here " I got up
and hugged him "what if he finds out or hurts me before we can get away" I looked at him than
at the ground " Harlow I promise I won't let him or anyone hurt you" I was so happy that night
the plan was to sneak out together but it all went wrong when we're trying to sneak out our dad
called out for me I told Jonny to run and I would meet him at the park at 1 and I asked him to
call his friend so he wouldn't be alone for the socs to jump him I came out to my drunk dad he
asked me " where'ss your brotherrr" I didn't say anything I just looked at my dad until he started
yelling and screaming "WHERE IS YOUR F****G BROTHER" after that he started aggressively
hitting me and I started screaming really loud it felt like it went on for hours of him beating me
then he walked away and he went to get more beer from the frigid and yelled at me to go to my room so I did cause I was terrified of my dad then I heard the police downstairs One police
officer came up to my room And knocked on the door so I opened the door she said "your father
with be going to jail he won't be out for 3 years I was 13 alone with no brother no family and no
one
End of Flashback
When I arrived at the house everything came flooding all the beatings everything that happened
I told myself to put on a fake smile so I did I was really good at hiding my feelings I could be
butt hurt and you would have no clue. When we got inside I saw my dad he looked all proper
and kind but he wasn't every time someone came over he would be nice and act like he was the
best dad but really he wasn't he was mean and Crowl. I looked him in the eyes and he smiled
and hugged me " Harlow I missed you so much" I didn't hug him back I just looked at him after
he hugged me. The Lady left after about an hour later but when she did my dad was back to his
bitch self I was honestly really scared of what he would do to me but I decided I wouldn't let him
control me he asked me to get him a beer so I said no " GET ME A F****G BEER LITTLE SLUT"
I didn't respond I just stand there to be honest I was trembling with fear he walked over to me
and said " You little s**t head better listen to me or else I will make you regret being born" I
then again said " NO I'm not you little slut slave you need to stop drinking ITS NOT GOOD FOR
YOU" I yelled I still cared for my dad a little even tho he's a totally a** then he hit me hard in the
jaw and a couple more Times in the jaw and the rips then I fell to the ground as he kicked it
really hurt like hell so I got up and ran out the door and didn't stop running intel I couldn't run
anymore. I found a park and just sat there it was 4 in the morning and I was so tried and in pain
when I was running it hurt so bad I almost cried I looked at the ground there was a broken
mirror I grabbed a big piece and looked at my self I had a cut lip and a bruised jaw there was a
cute on my cheek and arms my rips hurt to so I lifted up my shirt and saw one huge bruise on
my skin where my ribs are. I can't help but think About killing myself no one would miss me "
what am I still doing here" as a tear rolled down my cheek and then another and then another
until I was sobbing I heard something or someone "hey you okay"
