Tapping her finger on the armchair rest. Estorea closed her eyes.
"Hah... I should have expected this." She muttered.
She now knew, what story she was in.
This novel was called the 《The fight for me》
This title was just plain terrible and well, not creative at all. But hear this out, the cover just... it just looked really nice. So Estorea decided to buy it when she saw it in her local bookstore.
Of course, Estorea wasn't really surprised by the storyline. It was a cliché one.
The story was about a maid, who work in a castle. It started off in a ball scenario. Where she had accidentally spilt wine on her skirt, and was asked by the head maid to vo change and just clean the rooms in the castle since the guests were all gathered at the banquet.
Now, there are three male leads in this novel.
1. Evan Gladian - The so-called Perfect Crown Prince. He wears a facade, showing the world that he is really kind and nice. But in fact, it was the opposite, he was cold-hearted and possessive.
The heroine had stumbled upon him in a room in which had an affair with one of the maids. As expected, the prince couldn't let anyone find out about this. So he threatened her and made her his personal maid.
But over time, due to her kind and funny personality, he eventually fell in love with her.
But... As you know, there are still two more male leads.
2. Xeno Avraon - Archmage
This guy was the most powerful mage in the empire. He controlled the Tower of Magic and was the master of it. He had met the heroine when Evan had gone to the tower of magic for some business and brought her along.
The heroine, bored of waiting went to the library, and thus, they met.
This guy... He was, sadistic and emotionless at the very best. He was the smartest one out of all the three male leads. He didn't have any conscience of good and evil. He considered them the same and he wouldn't mind killing and torturing others if he must.
Due to meeting all kinds of people in his life, he was surprised to then meet the heroine, who had no mask at all. She was genuinely kind to him. Thus, he fell in love with her.
3. Jarvis Genosis - The Merchant
This guy, is well, the richest merchant of the empire. This guy has a superiority complex. From a young, he was called a business genius.
So he grew up with the thought that his achievements were the greatest thing in the world and so.
Well, Jarvis... He's the worst one out of the three. This guy is obsessive and messed up in the head, he thinks humans are just objects. One he can use and toss. It's as simple as that.
How did they meet the heroine? Well, it was when she was sent out of the castle to do some errands and they had met by accident when she suddenly mugged. For fun, Jarvis decided to help her.
After he had gotten her wallet back, he was surprised to see her grab his hands all of a sudden and thank him with sparkling eyes. With those words, his ego basically soared to the sky, and he realized he liked her compliments much more than he liked others.
So he decided, he wanted her. For himself.
And of course, he deluded himself to think that he was in love. So that this action was justified.
______
Remembering the descriptions of these male leads tire Estorea, she didn't transmigrate into a normal novel, unfortunately.
And one like this...
Now, what was her role?
Well, she's the evil supporting character that bullied the heroine, being manipulated by the villainess.
In the end, she was brought to court, had a trial, and was deemed to have execution and she died.
Her role was just to be a puppet, her strings played out by the villainess.
Moving on, as you all know, there is something called the Plot Armour. Without this, it would be a billion times easier to avoid her death flag.
Judging from the original host's behaviour, when she walk through the halls to get to the garden, she noticed the maids' expressions and faces to her were one of fear, hatred and resentment.
So Estorea decided to try out a theory. Being nice to them. With those thoughts in mind, she tried to walk to the maids and help them carry the blankets.
However, when she got close, she opened her mouth and tried to speak the words in her mind.
And realised, no sound came out. Immediately, her body suddenly resorted to glaring at the maid and ordering her to put down those blankets and get her a glass of water and snacks in an instant. All of this was played out by her body, she didn't control anything.
She had never done those actions, it seem like the Plot Armour had forced her to do so.
Having found out, she went back to her room. And a moment later, the maid arrived with the tray, with a glass of water on it and a plate, having small macaroons topping each other.
And of course, the maid shot her a resentful glare. Estorea just ignored her. Now that she knew the Plot Armour was real. This was going to be a lot more annoying and difficult than she expected.
But, undoubtedly, when there was a Plot Armour, there were plot holes.
And it was time to use those.
