We were sitting on the floor of my bedroom, in the middle of a game of Truth or Dare.
"Okay," she cleared her throat. "Truth or Dare?"
"Dare," I replied, a smirk on my face.
"I dare you to pick up your phone right now and send in an online audition to JYP."
"JYP?" I asked with wide eyes. "You mean JYP Entertainment?"
"Of course," she laughed. "You've always wanted to be a singer, a rapper, a dancer, even. I can tell you want to be on the stage, so I dare you to send in an online audition."
"What, right now?!" I stared at her. I couldn't tell whether or not she genuinely meant it.
"Tomorrow morning, when we wake up, I'll help you film it."
I let out a heavy breath, hearing voices in my head yelling conflicting words at me.
"Fine then," I agreed, calming down. "Now, Truth or Dare?"
"A dare as well, I guess," she smiled.
"I dare you to send in an audition with me," I giggled.
She looked at me, surprised. "I'm not even good at that stuff!"
"You're a decent singer. Come on, let's just try it for fun."
"For fun then."

I wanted to say a few things before the book starts.
1: CHARACTERS
Firstly, a huge thank-you to idiiotology , -crvshmin, TwiceBae_ , kermitpleasehelp , mintychenle_ , EmoKpopTrash123 , yanghseok , pink-kinks , -CAFEVITY , yundukie and jakey_jihoonie for taking part in creating some of the original characters in this story!
I have made a few original characters myself, so there may be quite a few new names. If anything is confusing then I will explain!
2: LANGUAGES
Also, this is important. The main character of this story will speak in three languages, and so I will use text styles to indicate this:
English will be written in standard text.
Korean will be written in italics.
Japanese will be written in bold.
Note: this only applies to direct speech, and I'll try to indicate the language where appropriate!
3: ABOUT THE MAIN CHARACTER
Normally I wouldn't spoil this sort of information about the characters but this is quite complex.
So, the main character is a Japanese-American girl named Aiko, and the story is told from her point of view. Aiko has a mental condition called Dissociative Identity Disorder. I recommend that if you do not know much about this condition then maybe look it up even if just a little bit, as it will help you to understand Aiko better!
Aiko's main alters are named Akari, Leon and Ren.
