Thirty-two

Taehyung let out a sigh in both relief and uncertainty. He lied next to me, combing a string of my hair to my ear.

"Tell me what you're thinking right now. I want to know everything, don't hide all your thoughts." Taehyung said attentively, smiling sadly.

"I can't stand being next to him. How-w how can he be so shameless?" I scoffed. Taehyung wiped away a tear rolled down from the nook of my eye.

"It's okay, let it out." He spoke, stroking my hand in his.

"I tried to tolerate this, I tried to hold it for mom but I just can't. I really can't. It brings back all the bad memories. I thought I can forgive him but it's not as easy as saying it. It was terrifying how fast negative things can control your brain."

"You can forgive him, baby. It takes time but you can."

"I can't Tae. I don't think I can." I shook my head.

"You can. You forgave me, remember?" Taehyung held my head up by my chin, making me look into his chocolate brown eyes that were reflecting the moonlight.

"You thought you could never forgive me but you did. Remember? It took time for us to start again, I'm sure you and your father can do the same. Before everything happened, your family was lovely, wasn't it? So if your father changed for you and your mother, why not give him a chance? Even your mother allowed him to make things right, she was very hurt too."

I heaved a sigh and lowered my head. The headache was killing me, I felt like my body can explode from frustration. Taehyung's right, even my mother forgave him. My mother must be heartbroken at that time.

"I don't know... Taehyung, I don't know. I'm lost and... scared." I sobbed, throwing myself into his embrace.

"Scared of the what-ifs again? Trust if always about the bet, yes, it's a frightening risk but if you said no, you can never know what may happen if you don't give it a try." He muttered softly, stroking my hair.

"Let's go back, talk to him, listen to him, learn about the full story from his perspective, okay?" He suggested.

I pouted, rubbing my redden eyes. "Can we stay here for a little longer?" I asked and he chuckled. "Of course."

We hung around at the park for fifteen minutes more, enjoying the hushed neighbourhood. The short amount of time gave me access to calm my mind, I'm glad we stayed longer.

"We should return now, they must be worried sick." Taehyung stood from the floor and pulled me up.

"Why? Still don't want to go? It will be okay." Taehyung pinched my cheeks as he saw me looking worried.

"Give me a kiss please." I smiled cutely at him. Taehyung giggled and leaned down, placing a kiss on my lips.

"Can we go now?"

"One more." I smiled cheekily.

Taehyung pulled me by my waist, bringing me into a passionate and long kiss.

"Now?" He cocked his eyebrow.

"So much better."

I had no idea where this book is going when I wrote this chapter lol
