Chapter 94

A few minutes before...

Mew could see figures in the distance as the rain beat down on  his face he glanced back and saw the flashing lights of the ambulance,  he pushed himself forward, he could see they were standing near the edge, he felt as if his feet weren't moving fast enough, the sky seemed to shatter into a million fragments as lightning split it up the heavens, lighting up everything around them, he saw the glint of the knife on Tul's hand and watched Gulf collapse to his knees had he stabbed him again?! His heart hammered recklessly he picked up his gun and aimed "STOOOPP!!!" He screamed at the top of his lungs followed by deafening thunder he saw Tul lunge forward and fired, he watched in horror as both Tul and Gulf felt into the water, he dropped the gun and ran as fast as he could and jumped in, he was welcomed by the cold dark water enveloping him, blinding him.

Gulf felt like he had fallen into sharp knives, he couldn't breathe or see, the dark water engulfed him like it had been eagerly waiting, he tried to swim up but he didn't have much strength left, lightning lit up the sky and he saw Mew break into the water, he extended his arm up to him trying to reach, his lungs ached and burned demanding air. His eyes began to close, lightning flashed again and he saw Mew swimming towards him, 'I'm sorry I didn't get to tell you I loved you,  I'm sorry I was afraid for so long that I didn't enjoy the life I was gifted' he let the darkness seep in and take him.

Mew couldn't see a thing when he broke into the water, suddenly as if by fate the sky lit up with lighting and he saw Gulf floating below him he swam, his lungs burned, the sky lit up again and he reached for Gulf's hand,  he managed to grab it and pulled. He quickly swam up to surface gasping for air as he broke out of the water.

He pulled Gulf's head  out of the water and realized he wasn't breathing, he looked around and quickly swam to a patch of land near them, he pulled Gulf out "Come on DONT LEAVE ME!" he screamed at him as he pumped his chest, he breathed into him and pumped again "PLEASE GULF STAY WITH ME!!" Thunder roared, Mew could feel the hot tears stream down his face in contrast to the cold rain "PLEASE GULF!! I LOVE YOU!" He smacked his chest hard and suddenly Gulf coughed, he quickly placed him on his side as he threw up the water "Yes love stay with me" he said softly, he picked him up and gently held on to him hugging him, he heard the thumping of foot steps near by and screamed "HERE WE NEED HELP HERE!!! HURRY!!"

Mew held on to Gulf's hand tightly in the ambulance as it roared, lights blazing to the hospital, he was so cold and pale that if it wasn't by the short rise and fall of his chest Mew might have thought he lost him. He closed his eyes and silently prayed, he prayed that he wouldn't give up, he prayed that he would make it. 'Please, please you can't gift me with finding my home, my safe place my light and take it away' he begged internally into the universe, they reached the hospital and he saw as they wheeled away a pale Gulf  away, he tried to follow but was stopped by some nurses, he watched as he crossed the doors, he took a glimpse at his pale face and watched the doors slowly close. He disappeared from his sight taking his heart with him.

Gulf heard the sound of chirping birds, he furrowed his brows keeping his eyes closed, he could smell fresh cut  grass,he felt a hand run through his hair gently playing, he felt the sun warm him as his skin was kissed with it's glow, he felt at peace.

He opened his eyes slowly and looked up
"Mo-Mom?" He said in a broken voice at the woman on who's lap he was on. She smiled sweetly at him like she always did her eyes full of love and understanding "Hi,my beautiful Kana" she whispered.

Gulf felt his heart soar with happiness he sat up and turned around and hugged her tightly, she smelled like lavender and cinnamon, he buried his face on the crook of her neck and cried "I've missed you so much mom, so much it hurt, it hurt to live it hurt to smile, everything hurt!" He wailed to his mother who hugged him back and rubbed his back gently "I'm sorry" he cried, the sobs shaking his body.
