When We Were Kids

Author's Note: this is a filler chapter (Bonus Chapter) for my Readers (✿╹◡╹)

(This does not follow any anime episodes and is something I created to fill in the plot, so just sit back and enjoy the story!)

          "Martha! Marta!" Yusei and Jack ran straight into the House, looking for their foster mother Martha.

"Martha!" Jack shouted again, running as fast as he could, avoiding wardrobes and shelves in the hallway, looking around to see if he will spot any signs of Martha. Yusei was running behind him, trying to catch his speed, feeling his breath shortening in the process.

          As Yusei was looking around, following Jack, he pumped into something soft, so he looked up just to meet Martha's eyes. She was standing in front of him, looking at his eyes with her hands on the hips, "Just what do you think you're doing, kids?!?" Martha's face didn't look happy at all.

"Martha!" Yusei smiled as hard as he could, not even thinking about Martha's anger.

          "I already told you that running round the house is prohibited! You can go outside and run as much as you want, Yusei!"

"Where's Jack?" Yusei tried to move his head to look behind Martha, looking for a friend he lost while searching for Martha.

          "I'm here!" He said, peeking from behind Martha's back, holding her dress tight in his fists.

"Jack! You two will be grounded because of this!"Martha still wasn't happy, but smiles from their faces wouldn't fade away, no matter what she said.

          "Fine", Jack hissed, unsatisfied with Martha's decision.

"But first you have to hear us out!" Yusei shouted.

          "What is it now?!"

"We found a new friend!" Yusei said with a smile on his face.

          "Yeah!" Jack added happily, "And he plays Duel Monsters!"

"Really?!?" Martha rolled her eyes but a small smile could be seen on her face, "And where is that new friend of yours?"

          "He's right here!" Yusei pointed to Martha through the window, so she looked in that direction just to see a young boy with orange spiked hair, standing outside like he is waiting for something. He was about Yusei's age or even younger and it looked like he was an orphan just like the rest of her kids in the House.

"Oh, my..." Martha's eyes widened like she was going to cry, so she rushed outside to meet the new kid and Yusei followed her alongside Jack.

          "Crow!" Yusei shouted when he came outside, so the little boy turned to him when a smile showed on his face.

"Yusei! Jack!" Crow shouted back, seeing Jack approaching him with an older woman behind him.

          "Crow, this is Martha!" Jack said when he met the other two on the outside.

"Ahmmm... Hello..." Crow murmured, while looking at the unknown woman with embarrassment.

          "It's OK, Crow", Yusei said, "She is like our mother!"

"And she's taking care for all of us here!" Jack said proudly, waving with his hands to showing Crow around, just to make sure Crow can see other kids playing around and having fun.

          "Wooow!" Crow's eyes widened with tears gathering in his eyes.

"What's wrong, my child?" Martha immediately asked.
