chapter 39: confrontation at Haven Academy

Qrow and the students have arrived at Haven and were greeted by professor lionheart

Lionheart: thanks for coming. There's more of you than last time.

Josh was scanning around a found a raven making him confused

Lionheart: why did you brought your weapons?

Sienna: (to Alice) Something's not right.

Alice: you're right.

Qrow: uh Leo. We're huntsmen. We're supposed to be have our weapons.

Then yang spots the raven

Yang: mum?

A shot was fired from Qrow's shotgun-sword and the raven transformed into Raven

Raven: if your going to shoot me then shoot me that was just insulting!

Ruby: Raven...

Qrow: what are you doing here?

Josh: (through the mask) that's what i was going to say.

She notices Josh's mask and smiles

Raven: (to Josh) I've never thought that you would be wearing that mask, Josh.

Josh: (though the mask) i take it that Salem had found you.

Raven sighs and explains about her actions

Then Ruby speaks up

Ruby: we can defeat her if we could work together.

Raven: (coldly) you sound just like your mother.

Then a portal opened with a fireball hits her sending her backwards

Sienna: Ruby!

Alice: who did that?!

Then Cinder and her associates walked out of the portal

Cinder: hello boys and girls

Ruby: (growls) Cinder...

Everyone drew their weapons

Qrow: lets just calm down.

Jaune: I'm going to make you pay for what you did!

Qrow: kid?

Jaune: well say something.

Cinder: who are you again?

This made Jaune charge straightforward toward Cinder

Josh: (through the mask) Ashe. Go help Weiss, Sienna support Qrow. Alice. To Yang and Ruby I'll help Jaune

ASA: Will do

Ashe joins Weiss while Sienna uses her whip against Raven with Qrow while Alice transforms her blade to help Ruby and Yang
Who are dealing with Emerald and Mercury

Mercury: you still owe me an apology for my leg.

Yang: that didn't happen!

Vernal: Let's see if the Schnee is more than a name.

Weiss: i'm more than just a name!

Ashe: I'm here to help, Weiss

Weiss: thanks

Josh was keeping his distance from Jaune's fight with Cinder

Cinder: i remember you now. You're that dense one who is out over his league

Then Weiss cried out in pain

Ashe: Weiss!

He had lowered his guard when Vernal threw one of her weapons at him but was defected by a hooded figure with a red Katana

Vernal: Huh? Who are you?

The figure didn't say anything and vanished

Vernal: (to herself) that was strange.

Cinder:are you going to let them die as well?

Jaune: Shut up!

The two charge at each other when Ruby unleashs an unkown power again

Ruby: NO!

She fell to her knees holding her arm then Jaune's blade cuts on the side of her eye and knocks him on his back

Cinder: You honestly think that you've had a chance against me! You're just a failure with a death wish

Jaune smiles

Cinder: What?

Jaune: I was just buying time for him

He pointed at Josh with his cannon aimed at Cinder and fires it sending her straight through the front door

Emerald: CINDER!

Mercury: Why You.

He ran straight at Josh and tries to shoot him but ended up being thrown into a pillar hard

Outside

Adam and a few members of the White Fang saw Cinder blasted out through the door

WF: is she ok?

Adam: I hope so

Then Cinder dust herself off and went back inside

Inside

Cinder: who ever you are, you have such nerve shooting me out that door!

Josh: (through the mask) I'm still surprised that you don't know who I am.

Cinder: then enlighten us.

Josh took off his mask

Emerald: no... not him.

Lionheart: that's Cinder's brother?

Emerald: it is.

Josh: I've waiting for this for a long time since beacon.

He draws an black sword with red highlights from a sheath on his back making Cinder scared
