CHAPTER 16

Damn it! Inhale... Just inhale as much as you can... It was hard, hard to breathe. Ah, I wish I could have taken my fitness a bit seriously after the last match. Just one more flight of stairs then im free as a bird. I can do this.

My legs were shaking like an earthquake. Heck, this is the worst day of this week, calling my luck is impossible. I believe it was somehow lost when i said to my mother that i can't help you with the grocery. I believe i got a curse for not helping her out.

Just one more step, please Daisy answer the door in just one knock.

"What happened to you? Did something hit you while you were on the road? Did your legs hurt? Why are you kneeling down, did you broke it? '"

"I was just going to die due to exhaustion but i prefer question poisoning for now?"

She was helping me to get up. I was on my four, I swear if they don't fix that elevator today I'm gonna sue them.

"Thanks"

"I understand that elevator wasn't working but why did you run. Did you lost your mind on your way back"?

She had a smirk on her face. I wish I could counter back but looking at this situation in hand, I can't make it worse.

"Daisy can just sit here first?"

"Are you in love? People do stupid things when they are in love. Are you?"

"huh?" what on earth is she talking about.

" Just forget it okay! I have something important to tell you. Please sit and for God's sake don't panic."

I guess I got her attention. She lost all the color in her face, did I scared her with my tone. Nobody dead after all and how is she supposed to know that, I'm sure she is guessing something worse than what had happened.

She was shaking my shoulders. Did I zone out?

Okay! Let it go out in one go.

"Chase had an accident."

And she shoots up from the couch and pushed me back and ran out the door.

What just happened?

Heck! I had to recover before running after her but looks like I'm the next for the hospital trip.

I was speeding back the stairs with her. I don't know if she is stupid or not or what is she actually thinking. Without know in which hospital Chase is she was run like a madwoman. God save me.

This is the most awkward situation I will be living in my whole life. The air of curiosity, dead looks, and ah how should I explain this is really weird.

One side Chase was having his lunch made by Daisy's mom and mother by his side. Me. Alessandro how hard a deadlock look towards Chase and a worried Mr. Jeremy. And a scared but worried Daisy. Fact that Chase had a head injury and as per doctor said he had some sort of memory loss. But it is clear what he does remember and he doesn't.

Well, he does remember his mom's dad, Mr & Mrs. Caesar. And for us, when l and Daisy walked into the room. He gave us a full bloom smile and hence we are stuck here. Because we sure think something is not right about it. So does his parents. Now you know why this so confusingly awkward.

"Hey, is he okay?" I have seen this dude.

" Liam, I was looking for you" sure this accident had a great impact on his, Chase was the happiest person in the world. At least in the adult world, he was full of energy, enthusiasm, and happiness. Man, can I have that kind of anesthesia to be a happy person? What is going on here? How can he be so happy if he is forgetting stuff?

Chase was hugging the hell out of Liam. Ah? With his dripping on the wrist and the wound on his forehead, he looks to live for the hospital, and the only one acting dead her is Mr. Alessandro, from his face I can make the sense of doubt he has about his amnesia.

Though every single person in the room wants to know if he remembers Daisy but none of us dare moved a bit to know the truth.

And not mention someone here didn't take their eyes of the victim. Surely, not because he sympathizes with him but has ready to kill look for sure, god what on earth this man. I wonder if he has any emotions, I'm all praise for Mrs. Caesar and Daisy.

"It's time to go home, you are coming with us right?" this question was directed towards Daisy but believe me I have seen a smirk with a hint of 'you are going to enjoy the fear time of your life' towards me.

I don't care if i have to drive to another part of this planet in the middle of the night, i can't stay in the same room with this man. I love my life, even though it's not perfect, i love to have my body part quite intact, with my body.

Where are you, my holy angels? Did i seriously offend you? Please, save me for this time, only once, once, once.....

" you look pale? Are you okay kid?" Ah? I'm afraid of your husband ma'am. I want to be away from him to be okay.

"Honey, let's take them home, they had drive hours to get here. "

"Sure"

What i don't have any say in my death sentence?

"Sure" that came out from Mr. Alessandro's mouth while holding my body which was about to explode with the immense heartbeat. I never had such a face to dead experience. And I'm not exaggerating. Please believe me.

I am being suffocated in a loving tight grip. I know Daisy you like Chase but can for a second look at my condition and show me some mercy.

Daisy was still in a trying to absorb the matter and definitely, she didn't look at but was staring at a carefree Chase, who was happy and was unaware of her presence not even as an acquaintance.

I have a bad feeling about this.

And finally, Mr. Caesar pushes me into a side still hugging me sideways.

"Im taking these kids at home. " He took Daisy's hand that changed the direction of Chase's eyes just for a microsecond and it was back again at Liam. Nothing there was nothing in his eyes for her, his body was calm and collected he was far from recognizing her. Most importantly he didn't even ask who she was, that drew a complete panic on Daisy's face.

Anyway, it wasn't a good relationship after all.

"Liam I remember everything, please stop with the photo album, toy, and stuff. I was hit by a car, I have an injury on my forehead but what happened to you. Did you lost your mind because you love me?"

It doesn't matter how cheeky Chase is now. Something was wrong about him for only forgetting Daisy from his lifetime.

I didn't point out and say dude this is your childhood sweetheart. I was expecting him to ask me who is she but that question never came as there were pictures of almost every kid from our high school thanks to uncle Sandro who always muddled between them.

"I want to go out. Can we go out? I'm perfectly fine now".

"yea why not! No one loves Liam, let's get him killed. You know your mom will kill me, dude. So, it's a big 'no'."

"it's fine, let's go".

He was closing his window, so was Daisy. It could be wrong if I say I did hold my breath for him to respond.

He just smiled at her and gracefully closed the window. Did he just shut the window at her face!

"Let's go". Where to? You are going to hell even without knowing it, dude!
