Your Story

It's the first day of the second semester at NYU. You had finally finished your first semester of college. To celebrate you and your best friend Poe stayed in all night and binged rom-coms on Netflix. You both snuggled up and secretly wished you could find your happy ending, but for now you have to finish college.

It's 8:50am and you have to leave soon for your first class. It's a English class that you're required to take in order to finish and get your degree. Your dream is to finish college and be able to work in publishing.

In your bathroom, you quickly wash your face and brush out your hair. Your outfit of the day is a black sweatshirt with only your bra underneath and black leggings.

After you brush your teeth, you head into your room and grab your phone and keys off the nightstand.

There comes a loud knock on your apartment door as you pick up your phone. You sigh. Poe must be here.

"Coming!"  You call out, you assume it's Poe coming to meet you before class starts.

You slip on your white vans and open the door not so gracefully.

"Hey Bitch! You ready?" Poe's smile is wide and he's holding a Starbucks iced coffee for you.

"Yes." You respond and take the drink from his hand.

Poe stops in front of your next door neighbors door. He spins around to look at you and he has a look of confusion on his face.

"What is it?" You ask him, prompting him to tell you what's going on inside his head.

"Did someone new move in here?" He asks you and you scrunch your eyebrows, totally confused.

"Uh. Yeah. A couple days ago. I haven't seen them tho." You explain.

"This person is a lot more organized then Old Lady Janet." Old Lady Janet is the old lady that lived next to you, about a month ago she got sick and her son had to put her in a home, he then sold the apartment the the new owner.

"I hope the new person is as quiet as Janet." You say and Poe agrees.

"Okay, lets get to class slut." Poe starts walking again and you laugh at his name to you.

You don't live too far from campus, it was only a 5 minute walk and a 2 minute drive and although you had a car, you rarely drove it to campus.

Poe of course complains the entire walk and he always begs you to drive him but you have to remind him it's better to walk.

"You're so fucking boring!" He wines as you turn the corner and you see your college campus.

"Will you shut the hell up. Damn you are so winy!" You tease him and he laughs.

You finally reach the door to your class room and you open it for Poe. He gives you a dramatic bow on the way in and you both giggle through the door.

You and Poe reach your regular seats in the back of the class and watch as everyone else piles in.

As you set down your bag Rey and her best friend Angie walk into the classroom.

"Ew. Rey and Angie are in this class. Now I'll have to smell fish for an hour and a half." He leaned down and whispered into your ear.

You always hated Rey and Angie. Rey was a total bitch and a snob. Her parents were totally rich and she thinks she can get away with whatever she wants. Then there's Angie. She's the head college administrators daughter and Rey's personal pet.

Rey glared at you once she saw you. She leaned over and whispered into Angies ear. Angie glanced over at you and let out a childish giggle. They moved across the room and sat directly in-front of you and Poe.
