Chapter 22

Beep beep beep beep beep

Slowly I open my eye's, the morning sun streaming through the window.

Grabbing my phone I press the stop button on my alarm.

Looking at the clock it reads 7am.

There is a knock at the door.

Bindi pops her head in.

" Wakey wakey sleeping beauty."

Rubbing the sleep from my eye's, I look around.

Bindi walks into the room, in a long top and sweat pants and plops herself down on the bed.

"We've got a lot to do today, but first I've got breakfast laid out."

Finally bindi is able to coax me out of the warmth of the bed and into the kitchen.

On the island top is a variety of fruits and eggs.

"Eat up."

Bindi pours us both a glass of orange juice.

"Did you get enough sleep."

"I think so, gosh I've never woken up so late before,I'm usually up by 6."

"Well today is your wedding day so you get to spend the day relaxing and let me and everyone do the rest."

"Speaking of everyone it's unusually quiet this morning."

"Well everyone is helping get things set up and look after the animals."

"Are you sure there is noting I could be doing."

"No! let us deal with everything, THIS IS YOUR DAY, everything is running smoothly."

We finish our breakfast and Wash the dishes together.

It's now 8am and another hour before the girls arrive.

Bindi takes the opportunity to pull out a paper bag.

"I saw these and thought you guys had To have them."

She hands me the bag.

Inside there were 6 silk dressing gowns,5 pink and 1 white.

Pulling out the white gown on the back in monogrammed is the word bride, the pink one's say bridesmaid.

I pull bindi into a hug.

"There amazing."

There's a knock at the door, bindi opens the door and in walks my mom.

"Hey bindi."

My mom brings bindi in for a hug.

"What are you Doing here so early, I thought you weren't arriving until 10."

My mum brings a white pouch out of her jacket pocket.

"well I wanted to give you your something old now before you will be distracted by everything else."

She hands me the white pouch

I open the string and pour the contents into my hand.

Out comes a very old pearl necklace.

"My mother gave me these on my wedding day, just has her mother had given them to her on her wedding day and previous generations, and now I pass them onto you, and one day you will give them to your daughter on her wedding day that's if you have a daughter of course, if not then daughter-in-law."
