December, Tuesday 17th 1894
"Are ever going to listen to me!? This is insane brother!" The sound of broken glass and angry footsteps echoed through the dim light room and the tense atmosphere was suffocating its occupants. "Can't you see it Lucien? It's our time to shine! He is dead and we can take over!" The two once close brothers were now broken and glaring at each other with such hatred in their eyes, almost like they were enemies. "I have children Adrien, I have a family and I'm not risking that for this atrocious plan you created" the man next to the fireplace walked over to his older brother, his expression one of anger and hatred. "You dare disrespect our father?! This is our legacy! We ought to use it and conquer the world!" Lucien stared at his younger brother, the feeling of betrayal spreading all over his chest. "You are unworthy of such power Adrien, you don't deserve to even come near it" A wicked smile rose on the younger man's face as he slammed his brother on the wall. "YOU ARE UNWORTHY! WE WERE GIVEN THIS GOD SENT GIFT AND YOU THROW IT AWAY!I THOUGHT TOU WERE LIKE ME!" Lucien struggled to breathe under the tight grip and his eyes were threatening to close. His teeth were gritted and his gold eyes pierced the young man. "We were never the same Adrien.... I was the boy filled with light and you were the son of darkness itself, we will never be the same...You will never be a Valleroix" The younger brother felt a slight pain in his heart and his bright green eyes were wide open. "Y-you you bastard! You don't deserve to live ,you are a disgrace to humanity!" His grip got tighter and the moment he snapped his brother's neck he felt a sharp pain spreading all over his chest. The burning sensation traveled through his body and his heart felt like it was pierced by needles. The air was somehow forced out of his lungs and the sounds started to fade... "Adrien! Lucien! No...." his eyes were heavy and foggy and he just gave in to eternal darkness. He always forgot, he always forgot how he was linked with him.
How light is linked to darkness.
