A faint murmur of voice awakes me from my peaceful slumber for me to notice that the show was still playing.
Looking up, I notice that Kio too had fallen asleep, his arms loosely still wrapped around me. Leaning forward to turn off my laptop, I'm not long after pulled back into a tighter embrace by Kio.
Grabbing my phone beside me, I see that it's now nine pm.
Unsure of when my mum will be back, I send her a message to ask before throwing my phone beside me, comfortably resting my head on Kio's chest.
Feeling a burst of energy, I decide to grab my phone again, this time accidentally causing Kio to wake up.
"Oh, I'm sorry." I whisper, not really sure why I was being so quiet.
"Mmm, no worries." Kio stretches, releasing from his grip around my waist.
"How long have you been awake?" He asks, looking at my alarm clock beside me to check the time.
"Only a few minutes." I shrug.
Nodding his head in understanding, he observes his surroundings, probably just to wake himself up.
"I'm like wide awake now." Kio states, sitting up from leaning on my bed frame.
"Same." I sigh, rubbing my eyes slightly.
"I'm gonna go get some water, do you want anything?" I offer, getting up from my bed.
"I'll come with you." Kio replies, also standing up.
Making our way downstairs to the kitchen, I notice that Kio brought his bag of snacks with him.
"Why'd you bring that with you? Did you wanna watch the show down here instead?" I ask, opening the cabinet to look for glasses.
"Well, I actually bought some vodka on my way here for tomorrow but I was thinking maybe we could play a drinking game since we're so awake?" He suggests.
I don't know what came over me but I not long after respond with "okay...sure, why not." Causing a surprised yet amused look from Kio.
"Okay cool." Kio states, placing the bottle of Smirnoff vodka onto the counter.
Using the two glasses that I was going to use for water, Kio fills a shot into each glass.
"Truth or dare. If you refuse, you drink. If you answer, the other person drinks. One shot each before we start." Kio explains as we both pick up our glasses, clinking them together before both downing the contents.
"Ugh." I state, unsatisfied by the terrible taste.
"Truth or dare." I state quickly so that I wouldn't have to go first.
"Dare." Kio replies without hesitation, resting his elbow on the counter.
"Hmmm. OH! I have a good one." I giggle.
"Text Sadie that you accidentally got another girl pregnant." I grin smugly in amusement.
"Oh hellll no. That's a good one but I'd rather live to see another day." Kio muses, pouring another shot before downing it.
"Your turn. Truth or dare." He smirks.
"Dare." I grin proudly.
"I dare you to text Sadie that I got you pregnant." He laughs.
"Oh my god." I laugh.
"Like you, I also enjoy living." I state, taking another shot, feeling a bit light headed from the second one as I'm not much of a drinker.
"Your turn." I exhale, trying to get rid of the awful aftertaste.
"Truth or dare?" I ask.
"Truth." He answers.
I pause to think of a question.
"When was the last time you lied?" I ask.
"Oof. When I told Mr Aisling that I had done the homework but left it at home." He smirks.
"Oh, what a rebel you are, Mr Cyr." I giggle, sighing after once realising I had to take another shot as Kio fills the glass.
"Eww." I complain after taking the shot, even though the taste wasn't as bad this time around.
"Truth or dare." Kio asks, smirking in amusement at my reaction.
"Truth." I copy.
"Who...was the first person you ever had a crush on?" He raises an eyebrow.
Oh my god.
"Hmm. I think it was Ryan." I awkwardly state.
"What?!" Kio's eyes widen.
"Part of me always thought I would be you childhood crush." Kio sighs, obviously quite annoyed which causes me to laugh.
"To make it up to you, I'll take a shot with you." I smugly smile.
"Deal. Kio states, filling up our glasses, taking a step closer as we both lift our glass.
Our eyes lock before Kio clinks our glasses signalling for us to take a shot.
"Truth or dare." I state, our eyes still pensively looking into one another's.
"Dare." Kio states firmly.
"Umm...I-I dare you too..." I stutter, pausing to think of a dare, my eyes looking at the counter to try and break the tension
"I dare you to-" before I can finish my sentence, Kio's pulls me in for a kiss. Taken by surprise, I quickly pull away, my heart beating immensely as butterflies swirl around in my stomach.
Kio takes a step back as if to apologise.
Without a second thought, I take his hand and pull him towards me, locking lips with him once again.
Kio's arms quickly wrap around my waist, pulling me closer as he does so, instinctively causing me to wrap my arms loosely around his neck, deepening the kiss as I do so.
The buzz of the alcohol refuses for me to think of the consequences from this so I instead just go with it.
Shortly after, my phone buzzes, causing me to pull away, Kio resting his head in the crook of my neck as I do so, groaning I'm annoyance.

Mum:
Hi, hun. I had a bit too much to drink tonight so I've booked a room at the hotel we had the work dinner at. Tell Kio he's welcome to stay the night. Love youuuuuuu

Obviously seeing from the text that my mum was indeed drunk, I place my phone on the counter.
"Oh, by the way. You know when you asked me who my childhood crush was?" I randomly bring up, probably due to the alcohol.
"Yeah?" Kio states, lifting up his head.
"I lied." I grin before pulling him back into a kiss.
Kio quickly pulls away to say "I KNEW IT!" Before pulling me back to continue the kiss.
Part of me feels like I'm going to regret this in the morning.
But another part of me doesn't really care.

I'm honestly not sure what I think about this chapter.
Comment what you think so far. I'm honestly still getting used to writing again.
