"Good girl" Aelia smirked
"Now where are we?"

"This my friend, is my father's legacy" Luna said, their eyes glanced towards the building

For they weren't anywhere close to the city anymore, it was far worse than anything to experience. It was all empty, and had a booming red energy piercing and shocking every few seconds. Almost like red lightening striking the air and grown. An almost metallic black figures rose from the ground like fallen ships on battle, left there to prick the skin of those who past by

It reminded Aelia of a desert that was covered in rolling hills. Wind stirred up the wispy sand but there was no sun, just darkness and red lightening teasing your mind. Yet it was still burning hot, Salty sweat rolled off their noses and stungs their eyes. Their clothing were overwhelmingly hot and sticky. The stiff, dry desert breeze blew sand into their eyes and made their hair stiff with salt.

Sand. A pyramid of sand, tall to reach half way to the sky. The pyramid lay in a great line like the spine of the land. It was as if long ago it were a great beast, only to lie down one day and never get up.

Perhaps the beast fell into an enchanted sleep, perhaps its soul was still in there. The range was high to the west and low to the east, curling at the end like a tail. To cross it, the clouds must go high and meet the colder air up there, then they dump their rain on it, every drop.

"Come along, I'll protect you" Luna chuckled as she intertwined her fingers with the girl, tugging her in the direction of the pyramid

The dark opening of the sand structure was drenched with cobweb, Luna's hand reached up above, aiming at the material and it immediately started a flame on the webs, melting it and disappearing so the two girls could step through

"I'm so confused" Aelia mumbled, Luna took a deep breath in before walking into the pyramid

"My father, when he was sent to hell. It was bare, just sand. It was unclaimed and unmarked land, an infinity worth of it actually. He landed right in the center of it all, cold, bleeding and broken. His heart was still beating but it was emotionally left with the woman he loved most back in heaven. So he laid flat on the ground, the heat wanting to rip apart his skin, slowly melting and breaking through his flesh. He had given up on everything at that point. He just wanted his soul to be taken away by the wind as he slowly turned to dust" Luna said

Aelia felt something deep within her heart, pulling at her veins and stinging her throat. Her dingers gripped Luna's tighter as she stared at the girl with such pity

"I'm so sorry Luna"

"Don't be, it's not your fault or anything" Luna chuckled softly, but the blonde could tell there was some hint of sadness in her voice

"Lucifer's alive... What happened here?" Aelia asked

The room was still pitch black, Luna continued to walk forward as she held Aelia's hands until she came to a stop

Her feet stomped onto the ground, but nothing happened. Luna furrowed her brows and let go of her girlfriend's hand, only to stomp even harder on the ground

This time, a spark went off. Beneath Luna's foot, a line appeared out of nowhere, it was a line dug into the ground that was slowly filling with gold that shined bright as the sun.

The line started to run to each end of the floor, connecting to other lines and filling it with gold. Aelia gasped as the line ran under her feet, passing fast like running water and joining another line
