eijis pov

he's having a nightmare again. what time even is it..? 4am. i keep pretending that i don't hear him cry every night. i don't want him to get angry or upset. but i feel so sad when i hear him sob. it really does sound like a lost child. i wish he'd trust me more, so i could help him. i don't want him to be in pain.

ashs pov

god i hope he dosent hear me. i had another nightmare. i cant help it. i'm sorry, eiji... i hope i'm not waking you up. i just want to protect you. you're in danger and it's all my fault. let's just hope we can make it through this week.

eijis pov

he sounds so sad. so hurt. so lonely. i hope he knows that i'm here for him. i don't want him to feel this way. he shouldn't. he dosent deserve it. he's getting louder and louder. his sobs make my heart hurt... ash.. i'm so sorry for everything you've been put through. i'm sorry that they- huh? i was stopped mid sentence.

"eiji..?" ash whimpered. his voice was weak and low. "did.. did i wake you?"
do i awnser?? or not..
i guess he heard me.
i sat up. "well.. sort of."
"i'm sorry.."
"no! don't be!! it's not your fault.. really!... are.. you okay?"
he was still crying, in fetus position.
"just another nightmare. i'll be fine. you should get back to sleep"
i could tell he wasn't fine. obviously. i got out of bed and walked over to him. he was shaking. ash...
"..no."
"w-what??"
i layed next to him. he turned to look at me.
"ash.. you can stop pretending you're fine. you're not a very good liar."
" heh.. guess not"
he sat up and came closer. i pulled him in for a hug. he was warm and quickly returned the hug.

he cried into my shoulder. "eiji... thank you.."

i got up to go back to my bed, but as i stood up i felt something grab my hand.
"eiji.. stay."
"huh??"
he looked at me with his jade blue eyes.
i knew what he meant instantly.

i smiled and layed back down with him. our bodies pressed together. i cuddled with him until we both dozed off into the night.
