At the worst timing, Leedo approached Youngjo as he walked toward his hut. "Hey... I'm glad to see that Keonhee is doing alright," the nervous alpha scratched the back of his head. "Is everything okay? I saw you guys bring in another wol-"

Before Leedo could say anything else, Youngjo cut him off by raising his hand in the air and shaking his head. "You have no right to question me about another wolf." He seethed and walked past him, entering his hut and slamming the door shut behind him.

The next day, Youngjo decided to go on the morning hunt alone. He made sure to leave a little earlier than usual and didn't inform Leedo. He didn't want to be anywhere around the alpha or his newly claimed beta.

When Leedo tried to question him about it later, he simply sped past him again. For all Youngjo was concerned, Leedo wasn't his right-hand man anymore, so he didn't have to explain anything to him.

Youngjo knew he was being petty, but he couldn't help it. His pubescent behavior was fueled purely by anger. Besides, Hwanwoong told him he didn't have to talk yet, so he's not.

"You know that's not what I meant, right?" Hwanwoong raised an eyebrow at his mate while he helped him skin the small deer. That was usually Leedo's job.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Youngjo didn't look away from the animal as he turned it onto its back, avoiding any possible eye contact from Hwanwoong.

"You're acting childish," Hwanwoong scoffed, "ignoring him like that." He shook his head in disapproval.

The older sighed, "Would you rather me yell at him? Maybe punch him even? He left a packmate alone to... fuck some random beta. He couldn't even control his wolf, and he ended up claiming him. So I'm sorry that I'm not ready to forgive him."

"His name is Dongju by the way, not just some beta." Hwanwoong informed, clearly perturbed.

The alpha refused to speak the rest of the time they worked.

The next couple of mornings played out the exact same way. Youngjo would purposely leave at a different time each morning to be sure that Leedo wouldn't come with. Though, he wasn't surprised one particular morning to eventually see Leedo waiting out by their normal starting point, just outside the treeline border.

The younger alpha was clearly waiting for him. Who knows how long he might have been sitting there. He reached to grab Youngjo's shoulder. "Youngo, will you please-" The older never stopped to listen, instead he quickly transformed before Leedo's touch could reach him.

Youngjo shook out his coffee colored fur before darting into the thick forestry, weaving between trees at a brisk speed. He effortlessly leaped over a creek and made a sharp turn to avoid a large douglas fir, hoping to make it difficult for Leedo to keep up. But Leedo's capabilities were a close second to Youngjo's. He was keeping up, and he was doing it well. His pace was clearly motivated.

Stop running from me, and let's talk about this. Leedo insisted, determined to chase his leader for however long it was necessary.

The alpha leader growled in response, trying to keep his wolf at bay. His wolf knew that he wasn't happy, and it was getting riled up, excited even. Now is not a good time. It's time to hunt.

Leedo followed the older to a spot they rarely visit on their hunts.

It was a great location since it was close to a creek and full of tall grassy areas. It was the perfect spot for their prey to roam around freely. The reason they seldom visited this spot was because it was a further than they usually liked to travel, and it was a little more dangerous. They were close to a couple large drop-offs that overlooked the ocean. If they weren't careful, they could send themselves over, only to plummet into deep seas.

Once they started, Youngjo made it apparent that he needed to release some pent up aggression. Nothing stood a chance against the alpha. He was going to bring home an unnecessary amount of game, but it was making him feel better. It was helping him to forget that the other alpha was around.

At the rate Youngjo was going, Leedo was unable to even contribute, which was the clear intention. The younger wolf could only follow after him.

Head Alpha, Leedo pleaded, listen to me for a moment. Please, don't push yourself too hard. Yell at me! Whatever you need!

They were nearing dangerous territory, far too close to the edge of the cliffs for comfort, and Youngjo was being wreckless.

Please, if you would just-

He was unable to finish his sentence through their link before Youngjo rammed into him with purposeful force, sending the two large wolves tumbling forward on the ground. Leedo yelped in fear, unable to stop them as they approached the end of the ledge.

But the Head Alpha stopped them just in the nick of time, planting his large paws on the ground and digging his claws in the dirt to slide and eventually halt their movements. The top of Leedo's head just barely hung over the edge, while Youngjo hovered over him, his red eyes burning into the younger's.

"You still want to talk, huh?" He loudly growled to where it vibrated through his whole body.

Leedo visibly cowered underneath him, letting out a whine of submission to his Head Alpha. It was a sign of respect. Leedo would never submit this way to any other alpha.

Youngjo let out a huff of air and removed himself from on top of him. He shifted back into his human form because he knew if he stayed in his wolf body for much longer, his wolf would try to have its way, which would not be pretty. Leedo followed suit, moving away from the drop-off.

"I jus-"

"Leedo, stop it!" Youngjo snapped, gritting his teeth. His eyes shifted back and forth between red and brown, showing his internal struggle with his wolf to restrain itself. "Have you not picked up the hints? I don't want to talk about this yet because right now I'm so mad that I could rip out your throat." He stood, glaring down at Leedo intimidatingly.

"So stop trying to make me talk. You can't fix this, so give up!" He spat out before transforming again and taking off, leaving a guilt-ridden and sorrowful Leedo behind.
