1) Despite smoking around 4-5 cigarettes a day, she vows NEVER to touch alcohol and she becomes extremely defensive when someone is drunk.
2) When she sees Toby she tends to act like he isn't there, ignoring him completely. If Toby gets her attention she snaps at him, rather comical for everyone else but not for them two.
3) She can visit her mother (Connie) but only through dreams. So, she tries to divert her nightmares over the fire and 'loss' of Toby into a postive dream where Lyra can have a conversation with her.
