They both looked at each other with their eyebrows furrowed then Muriel walked to the door as Clyve followed, she opened the door to see Diane with a worried look on her face
"Have you seen Skip, he's been gone for days?"
She asked

Clyve and Muriel looked at each other with a worried look.

It was silence for a while
"Well have you?"
She asked

Muriel sighed as she felt a lump in her throat as she thought about what she had to tell her
"Diane come on in" she muttered as she and Clyve made way for her to come in

Diane's eyebrows furrowed as she looked at them and walked in
"Take a seat, make yourself comfortable"
Clyve told as he made space on the couch

She looked at them both in confusion
"What's going on, is everything alright?" 
She asked

Muriel sighed as she rubbed her temples as she tried to think of a way to tell her
"Diane... Skip has a problem"
she told as she felt a lump in her throat

Diane's eyebrows furrowed
"w-what kind of problem?"
She asked

She let out a heavy sigh and felt tears forming
"Skip is on drugs" she muttered

Diane's face turned into a look of shock
"What?" Her face contorted

Muriel stood up and held her hands tightly as she looked her in the eyes
"...He's on dope Diane"
she muttered as tears fell down her face

She shook her head in disbelief
"No... no, no, no this can't be true" she cried

Muriel sighed "We would never lie to you about something like this, I know it's hard to believe but it's true" she told

Diane shook her head "No I won't believe it I won't!" She shouted

Clyve held her by her shoulders "I saw it with my own eyes, he was in an alley talking to a pusher"
he told

She was silent and stood still with a blank look "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT, THAT WAS PROBABLY SOMEBODY ELSE"

Clyve just shook his head and wept holding his head in his hands as he plopped on the couch

Muriel looked in her eyes hoping to get through to her "Diane you are in denial right now, it will take time for you to accept that Skip has an addiction-"

"HE DOESN'T" Diane shouted

There was silence "You know what I'll just find him myself and prove it to y'all that he's fine" she ran out slamming the door

Muriel ran to the staircase "DIANE" she called out but when she heard the door slam she knew she was long gone

She leaned over the railing and sobbed, Clyve walked up to her and held her as tears fell down his face
