These creatures are nature spirits. They are believed to control the prevailing weather and can send frost, hail, or rain to the region depending how benevolently disposed to humans at the time.

They are also known to protect their descendents and they often visit them in their dreams, offering wisdom to help with problematic situations.

They are known to look like an old man wearing traditional Aymara clothing. They are known to dwell in caves of mountains.

People offer them water of alcoholic beverages that is poured on the mountainous terrian and feeding of stay dogs.

Poor dogs. :(
