After the call, I had resumed on listing down the places that I'll be visiting on the next video and when that was finished I formulated my protection rune as well as prepare a jar spell to keep malevolent spirits from crossing out the borders of the property and another to guide lost souls to a better path to piece.

With all that done and said, I was getting ready to call it a night when I had just put away some jar spell ingredients, my eyes landed on the flower that I had found lying on my back door steps.
I had no idea how it got to where I had found it since there were no Angel's trumpet plant growing nearby and if it did, it shouldn't be laying anywhere near my property. Plus the fact that based on the petal and the stem, it had just been picked and was deliberately placed there.

Other people would have just asumed that it had just been a gift from a secret admirer because of the flower's meaning: ' alluring, charming, and endearing. But I know this flower too well to be fooled by its language.
An angel's trumpet flower is a toxic plant; who ever dares to ingest even just a single flower, would cause the victm to have really nasty hallucinations. One young man even went as far as to dicapitate his own hand and genetal because he thought this stupid flower was good for tea.

Just as this realization surfaced, so did that dreaded memory. This stupid plant was the reason I lost a friend. Remembering it made my heart sink. But if I knew that much, why did I take it in? Why did I put it in a vace and placed it ontop of my desk, welcoming it's devilish presence in my abode instead of throw it out?

I heaved an exhausted sigh and went to pick up the cursed flower to throw it out the window.
Only, I didn't. Instead, I found myself holding the flower in between my fingers and examined it as if it were a curious new specimen. My brows knitted together while my eyes studies the little bloom, mildly confused as to why my body isn't doingbwhat I told it to. Maybe it was an inner conscience saying that I should just keep the flower and that what I was thinking was nothing but a  ridiculous act of paranoia. I mean, that was why I moved here in the first place. To leave the past and just live with the present. "Easier said than done." I muttered to myself putting the flower back into it's vace and went to go to sleep.

My Saturday morning wasn't all that eventful, really. Aside from dedicating the entire day for finalizing on where my furnitures would sit to make my living space look homie at least, I also tasked myself on listing out the things I should buy to set up my wiccan station like curtains, extra bottles, tables, books, candles and of the likes to give off a welcoming vibe to guests who are interested in readings and wiccan assistance.

I was in the middle of decking another shelf when I heard knocking on my front door.

Hastely climbing down my step stool nearly caused me to fall to my doom (and by doom, I mean landing on a near by pile of card board boxes) only to catch myself in the knick of time.

"Just a sec!"
I stumbled through my hallway until I was able to finally wrap my palms into my door knob to greet the unexpected guest.
As soon as I swung the door open, a wafting scent of perfume -what I asumed would be Burberry: Weekend-  stung my nostrils and caught me off guard.

"Bennyyyy!"
The lady walked into my house to give me a hug and the sudden action left me stunned. I would have given her a tug back out my property if I hadn't known her, but I do.

"Daphne?!"

Was all I could say.

She eventually let go of me after what seemed like an eternity's worth of a hug. "I finally get to find you after so long!"
"Holy sh- how in Hades' blue ass did you find me?!"
I chirped in excitement and pulled Daphne into my little reck of a home.
"Novem told me your address. I hadn't  really considered giving you a visit today but as soon as I realised I was near by, I took the opportunity and tell you the news in person." Daphne winked.

As we catch up with eachothers lives, -mostly about how shes already engaged to Scott, the guy she had been crushing on since junior high. And how she was doing with her career as a teacher- I gave her a little tour around as well as getting some help with the rest of the set up around the house, to wich Daphnie was more than expected to help. It went on like that until Daph help me out on making dinner.

"So, how's life like being famous?"
Daph asked with a smile on her lips.
"Oh you know, keeping up with the trends and that shit. Oh! Also dealing with some occasional unwanted online drama sprinkled here and there."
I huffed, mild exhaustion in my tone while I was chopping some potatoes.
Daphne gave a little giggle.
"Well, you have to live with it Babe, its part of the job and you know it."

Another knock on the front door cut me of before I could reply back to what she said. Though before I could get it myself, Daphne beat me to it, saying that I should finish the curry. I wanted to protest but knowing her, she'd rather not mess up dinner and just leave me to it. Im not saying she's a bad cook, she's great at it actually, but since she wasnt used to my new kitchen yet, it was understandable.

"Benny? A guy's looking for you!"
