After having dinner and taking a shower, I walked over to my desk to begin looking up abandoned places for my next erbex this monday.

There were a couple of options here and there such as the Calcasieu Courthouse and the Lalaurie Mansion (bothe really interesting places to explore and are definitely living up to their reputations) but they seem to have been popular - not just because of its macabre history and active spotings, but also with the fact that they have been marketed to those who want to stay or visit these places, which irked me a bit.

Personally for me, the idea that a place that harboured the souls of unfortunate people and the entities that come with it is being owned by entrepreneurs who are no where near related to those who have passed in such locations to profit from its grimm histories. If I were said ghost, I'd feel pretty used.

I avoided these kinds of circumstances in hopes that I'd at least keep unwanted cameos from random passers-by and fellow explorers and as well as to keep my "erbex" theme up and going.

Finding unsatisfactory results, I decided to just go on google maps and began scrolling for seemingly abandoned sights near the area. Sure enough, I found a couple of them. There is a deserted shack in the middle of a wooded area just a mile a way from my house, another one is a ghost town just beyond the first location's south for like another mile away and interestingly enough, there seemed to be a deserted graveyard about an hour away from my house.

How I knew that it was another abandoned necropolis was because it seemed to be surrounded in think vegetation and there isn'teven a track, road or path leading to it. Meaning this bone yard had never been visited since. The list goes on and I was more than happy to be taking note with this one. Who knew New Orleans was loaded with gold!

Just as I was fixated on listing the address down, I was hauled out of my little investigation by the chimming of my phone. I grumbled and picked up the annoying thing to see who had the gall to call me in the middle of work. The screan flashed 'Novem' in it and I sighed as I pressed the botton to answer.

"Hey."
I huffed as a smile pulled the corners of my lips
"Hey Bane!"
Novem's chippy voice hummes through the line. Hearing her was enogh to make me feel like Im back home. Back in the days when I didn't wory about how to feed my constantly grumbling stomach and how to keep a roof above my head. With a playful tone I replied
"You never really called unless you need something. So shoot."
I snickered, almost guessing what she'd say next.
"You're one to talk."
I could hear her stuffled giggling and I was literary doing the same only to fail at it.
"Heheh. Fine. What do you need?"
I smirked as I moved from my stiff chair to my great bean bag bed, lap top on hand
"Should Io's hair be drawn down or should I give him a neat look?"
Nov asked, the distinct tapping of her mechanical pencil could be heard in the background. A sign that she was having trouble with what to do with her character design for her up comming manga.
"Hmmm..."
I pondered a bit
"Maybe both? Like put his hair down when in his cafe and maybe when his in his Bartending mode, he'd have it primmed up?"
I suggested with a raised brow
"Ohhh! Like a double persona thing?! That's actually pretty good! Thanks Bane!"
She gasped with the though, getting the point and actually agreeing to it. Usually, she'd throw some of her ideas in as well but it would seem that what I had provided was enough.
"Yeah, no prob. Cant wait to read your manga Nov."
"Don't worry, as soon as the first chapter is out, you'll be my prove-reader!"
I could almost imagine Novem dong a little encouraging fist pump with she'd be doing right about now.
"Hahaha always am and always will be."
I Snickered.
"Also, You better be careful out there. Especially on your next erbex you hear?! Or else I'd call you out from the other side with a uija bord just to give you a lecture you got that?!"
"Yeah, don't worry. Ive got my runed with me and so far they haven't failed me yet!"
I gave a little chortle with her warning but of course, as a sister, It's a must to listen to her.
"Be sure about that Bane, I know that you know erbexing isn't a safe thing to do, but since you became a full timer, you'regoing to have to di it often too. And not all runes are able to save you, you know?"
Her voice was oozing with concern and I understand that. So I reasured her with a smile that she could not see but I know she could hear
"I know Nov. I'll make sure to always be careful and to never over step or stay my welcome."
"Good. Now, I better work on Io before I get any more distracted with you."
Novem laughed and so did I
"What's so distracting about me?"
"Bane, you were ALWAYS distracting."
We bothe laughed and soon said our good nights and good byes.
