Chapter 5 - Sick

It was 4:00 am. Luke woke up feeling sick and his whole body was aching so bad. Luke tried to get up to take a piss and wash his face. When Luke got out of the bathroom, he saw Sheryn lying down and sleeping tight on his bed. Luke let Sheryn sleep and started preparing breakfast for the both of them. After preparing breakfast, Luke wakes Sheryn up to have breakfast with him. Both Luke and Sheryn were quietly eating their breakfast and Sheryn suddenly talked and asked…

"How do you feel?"

"I'm fine, it's just my lower back that is aching pretty bad, but I think I can handle it"

"Alright then."

The silence striked for a second until Luke talked and said…

"Sheryn, I want to go with you to the cafè today."

Sheryn suspiciously asked Luke and said. "How about your class?"

"I'm gonna skip classes for today."

After eating, Luke and Sheryn started preparing and left. When they arrived, Luke and Sheryn started working. Many hours have passed, one tall and good looking student entered the cafè and ordered a large iced americano. While waiting, the student sat down and opened his book and read. After a minute, Luke walked towards the student to give his large iced americano. While walking Luke suddenly felt dizzy, Luke almost fell down but thankfully he did not. Luke stood at the student's side, while Luke's handing the coffee over to the student, the student recognized his face and said…

"Hey, it's you!"

Luke was clueless what the student was talking about and asked. "Pardon?"

"Oh, you don't remember. You ran off to me at campus cafè the day before yesterday. You were rushing that time, so I didn't have the chance to ask your name." 

"Oh, well then, I'm sorry."

"No, it was completely fine. So may I know what your name is?"

While Luke tells his name, his vision suddenly starts turning around and Luke eventually faints. The iced americano spilled all over the student's shirt and book. The student was shocked when Luke suddenly fainted and luckily the student catched him. Both Luke and the student fell on the ground and made a loud noise that caught everyone's attention. Sheryn was curious and quickly checked the dining area. Sheryn was shocked when she saw both Luke the student lying on the ground.

"Hey, what happened to him?" Sheryn asked the student.

"He suddenly fainted while talking to me and luckily, I catched him before he fell."

"Alright sir, may I trouble you to help me to get him to the hospital nearby?"

"Sure, sure. No problem." The student answered with a smile on his face.

After getting Luke to the hospital Sheryn asked the student and said…

"Hey, sorry for inconvenience but can you look after him? I really need to go back to the cafè"

The student smiled and politely said. "Sure! No problem at all. Do you want me to drive you?"

"No, no, I can walk by myself. Anyway, thank you so much, sir!"

Sheryn left rushing off to work and the student sat down besides Luke's bed and fell asleep. Many hours have passed and the student woke up with the noise Luke's making.

"Oh, you finally woke up." the student said

Luke flinched and answered. "Uhh, yes." And asked. "Uhmm, excuse me, may I ask you what happened?

The student smiled and said. "Oh, you fainted due to high fever while you were talking to me." 

"Oh, did I spill the coffee on you? How about about the book you were reading? Did I spill the coffee on it too?"

"Don't worry about that. The book was pretty boring either."

After a while, while Luke and the student were checking out of the hospital, Luke asked for the bill. The student suddenly took his wallet out and paid the whole bill. The student grabbed Luke's wrist and left .

"Hey, what was that for? I can pay the bill though."

The student just smiled and kept quiet. The student kept walking while holding Luke's wrist. Luke suddenly noticed that the student was taking him to the parking lot but he kept following the student. After a minute, the student suddenly let Luke's wrist go and stopped walking in front of the nice expensive car and said….

"Get in, I'll drive you home."

Luke was surprised when he knew the student owns that car and eventually gets in the car. The student asked for Luke's address but Luke was spacing off the window. The student asked again and Luke flinched and told him his address. After a short drive, they arrived at Luke's place.

"Get some rest and don't forget to take your medicine, okay?" The student said.

"Okay, thank you for driving me home, sir …. ?"

The student answered with a gentle deep raspy voice. "Oh, I forgot to tell you. I'm Blake, you don't need to call me sir."

"Alright, I'll get off now. Drive safely Blake."
