Janelle's Pov

It's mad out dark. I feel so tired while keeping on running over and over again to this creepy dark forest without an ending. Sweats are now dripping visible right through my face with a worried expression. My heart is bouncing so fast. I am scared. They are here. They will get me. I tried to asked for help but no one comes around. Napahawak ako s aking dibdib nang kumabog ito nag malakas at mabilis. It feels strange how everything went in a slowmo. I was all alone, trying to escape the cruel world but I run out of strength and I heard a gunshots.

I felt something hot small thing that hits my arm. I screamed as pain lingered on my arm as I felt a hot liquid dripping over it. It wasn't what I expected but it drained my energy. With my weakened body, I force myself to keep going but my body weakened ever more as I tried to fight. I felt my strength washing away as I run out of breath.

Please somebody help me!! And I woke up.

I woke up in an unfamilliar room with dim lights. It's warm and not as dark as the forest. No  one's hunting me and no gunshots. I roamed my gaze around the room where I am staying at.

'Where am I?' ang paulit-ulit na tanong ko sa sarili, bagay na tanging rumehistro sa aking isipan. Pinikit ko nang mariin ang mga mata at inalala ang huling nangyari sakin. Pero kahit anong gawin kong pagpiga sa utak ko ay wala akong maalala. Nahuli kaya nila ako at ikinulong na naman?

I don't wan't to think any negativity anymore. I was so desperate to leave my house and now, I don't know where I am. Maybe I need to get more rest so that I can think straight and remember those things that happened. Pero isang bagay ang nasisiguro ko, na kung sino man ang nakakita sa'kin, hinding-hindi ko pagkakatiwalaan kahit kailan.

This can't be. I need to get out of here. Pinilit kong bumangon pero kumirot 'yong kanang braso ko at dahil doon ay napatingin ako sa bahagi ng katawan kong iyon.

I scan my right arm and I gasped when I saw my wound. May tama ako ng bala. My eyes widened and I blink my eyes several times after. Now I really got confused more what happened to me on that night. Did someone caught me? I was so tired on that time and I didn't even know who's place I am staying at.

Maybe I run out of blood that's why I fainted at dahil narin siguro sa pagod ko sa kakatakbo. Muli kong nilibot ang paningin sa apat na sulok ng kwartong kinalalagyan ko. This is a simple room yet it scrams elegance and luxury. A combination of white, gray, and black.

Nasa gitna nito ang kama at may malaking flat screen tv sa tapat then on it's right side, there's a door and so as the other side. Bigla naman akong napaisip kung sino ang nag-mamay-ari ng kwartong kinalalagyan ko ngayon.

Kahit masakit at hindi ko masyadong maigalaw ang braso ko'y pinilit ko pa ring bumangon. Hula ko, malayo na ang lugar na kinalalagyan ko ngayon. Kung hindi ako nagkakamali, nawalan ako ng malay sa isang gubat malayo sa bahay namin. Sa tingin ko, apat hanggang limang oras ang biyahe mula sa gubat na iyon hanggang sa bahay. And right now, I think, I really need to get out of here as soon as possible at baka mamaya'y masamang tao pala ang kumuha sakin.

Humugot ako ng malalim na hininga bago naglakad patungo sa bintana sa tabi ng glass door ng veranda at dumungaw mula roon. The moment I saw the view outside, I gasped with my eyes widened.

"Oh crap! How can I get out of here!" It feels like I suddenly lost hope on getting out of here. Tila bigla akong namutla.

Napatakip ako ng bibig at umiling sa sarili. Mula dito sa bintana'y matatanaw ang nagtataasang pader na nakapalibot ata sa bahay na ito. Ang taas ng bakod. Triple ang taas nito sa bakod namin sa bahay and one more thing, makikita rin dito ang nagtataasang puno sa labas ng pader. Don't tell me, this place where I am staying at was built in the middle of the forest?!
