Finally, the bell rang. Right when I was about to stand up, Michael grabbed my arm.

I sighed. "I'm honestly not in the mood for more of your taunts, Clifford."

He rolled his eyes. "I just wanna know who's house we go to first. Yours or mine?"

"Uh...I don't know." I bit my lip. Cate and my other friend Skylar aren't exactly the warmest people towards boys.

He kept staring at me. His eyes were kind of cute, I guess. I still can't see why girls fall for guys like him.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. "Yours. Unless you want children. My friends wouldn't be too happy with you."

"Why not?"

"Look in a mirror Clifford. Do you really think a protective friend would like their best friend having a guy like you in their room, alone?"

He smirked. "Guess not."

"Look, I wanna go to lunch." I whined.

"Fine. Let me get my stuff."

I tapped my foot impatiently.

"Come on. Let's go."

"Okay, okay. Calm down Selena."

I literally almost growled. "Don't call me Selena. Only my friends call me that."

"What am I supposed to call you?"

I shrugged. "Fields."

He smirked. "What about-"

"And if you call me anything other than that, I'll do what I said earlier, got it?"

He put his hands up in surrender. "Okay, Fields."

"Good. Can I leave now?"

"Nobody's stopping you."

I turned on my heel and left. But I ciuld have sworn I heard him sigh and say quietly,"And there she goes again."
