Chapter 2: Am I safe?

Third P.O.V
It's been 2 days and (Y/N) still hadn't move from her spot and her eyes are red and puffy from all the crying, then she heard the door open with a loud bang then she quickly went back to the barrel that her mother hid her. She was scared because she thinks that the creature that murdered her parents came back, but she thought wrong she saw two people, a boy that has a mismatch haori and a girl with two butterfly hairpin and a butterfly pattern haori. Her body was trembling of fear because they had swords and she thought they will harm just like what happened to her parents.

"Oh my! I guess were too late the demon arrived before us." The girl with two butterfly hairpins said.

"Yeah, but do you see any survivors Kocho-san?" The boy with mismatch haori spoke.

"I don't see anyone Tomioka-san". Kocho said

"Hm, let's look around to see if their aren't any survivors." Tomioka said

"Right" Kocho said and so they started looking around the house but before they do that they prayed for the couple so they can be happy to their next life. Then they started the search.

Back to (Y/N)

(Y/N) was hiding in the barrel and she was holding her bear really tight because she scared that they will search the house. She prayed that they won't find her, but she was found by a girl with a butterfly hairpins.

"Tomioka-san I found a survivor! It's a little girl!" Kocho said

"Really? Well let's bring her to the headquarters." Tomioka said.

When Kocho was about to lift (Y/N) out of her hiding spot she flinched and move farther from her hands. Kocho was surprised that the girl flinched and she saw that (Y/N) started crying. Kocho looked at the girl with pity she thought that she must be that couples child. So she started to speak with (Y/N) with a gentle voice.

"Hi there little girl, don't cry it's alright your safe with us" Kocho spoke with a calming voice and smiled softly.

(Y/N) just stared at her with teary eyes then she spoke with a trembling voice.

"R-Re-Really?" She asked

"Yes little girl we come to save you. My name's Kanae Kocho and this man is Giyu Tomioka we are from the demon slayer corps, what's your name?"

"U-um, (Y-Y/N)" she spoke

Kanae smiled and she said "Ara~ Ara~ what a beautiful name you have their (Y/N)-chan, you also have a pretty cute face and your (E/C) eye is very pretty." Kanae said with a smile on her face.
"What's your teddy bears name?"
"Um, (Teddy bear's name)" (Y/N) said. "My what cute name you gave to your teddy bear" Kanae said with a smile. "Why won't you come with us, we will take you somewhere where were safe"

"B-but, what about my Oka-san and Otō-san. I-I can't just leave them h-here" she said.

"Don't worry (Y/N) before we leave me and Tomioka san will bury your parents" Kanae said.

"O-okay" (Y/N) said and she went out from her hiding spot with a help of Kanae. So they went to where (Y/N)'s parents laying her right held her bear and her left arm held Kanae's haori, Kanae notice it so she spoke to (Y/N).

"It's okay (Y/N), your mother and father are in a better place now, so no need to cry" Kanae said and hugged (Y/N).

"Mm." (Y/N) hummed with a quiet voice. The two of separate from the hugged and Kanae and Giyu started taking (Y/N)'s parent outside and buried them.

After Giyu and Kanae buried (Y/N)'s parents they say a little prayer and (Y/N) started to speak.

"Oka-san, Otō-san, is this goodbye?" She said

"I'm not ready yet! You can't leave me I still want us to do something together!" She yelled and started crying. Kanae and Giyu just look at her with sympathy. (Y/N) just cried very hard and hugged her bear tight to remember all the things that her parents do together. Kanae hugged (Y/N) and she cried in her shoulder for awhile.

After her tears have dried (Y/N) look at Kanae with a sad face Kanae saw something different from (Y/N), she saw that her (E/C) was gone and it's replaced with grey color.

"How did this happen her eye wasn't like that before it was a (E/C) a while ago, but how did it turned gray?" Kanae thought.
Kanae just looked at (Y/N) and then she spoke. "It's okay (Y/N), its okay. Come let's go take you to the headquarters, okay?"

"O-okay" (Y/N) said and the three of them left. (Y/N) held Kanae's hand and they started heading back to the headquarters.
