Flashback (2 years ago)

He had been watching his Kana from afar for a year now. He had stolen his heart when he had sat at the café a year ago. He had looked so cold and distant no matter how many women had approached him and flirted he had not glanced at them once.

He had coldly dismissed them with a wave of his hand. He had watched him closely maybe he was gay and that's why he didn't let the women manipulate him, but as time passed and he continued to work on his laptop he had seen man approach him as well, and he had the exact same reaction. Cold, distant. He had been automatically attracted to him and there was nothing he could do to stop the way his heart beat faster at the way his eyebrows furrowed, or his lips slightly parted as he looked carefully at whatever was on his screen.

He remembered watching someone come in and yelling "Gulf!" and watching him turn and give the briefest of smiles as he picked up his things and left. Back then he thought that was the last he was going to see of the stranger who had not even purchased anything from the café.

A couple of weeks later he had stopped by as well, he had seen him glancing across the street to the soccer field in the park, an indescribable look in his eyes, he was now growing more and more curious about the stranger named Gulf. For some reason he had the urge to see him smile, but only to him.

He had walked near him cleaning the tables around him and watched as his eyes did not move from the soccer field, but it seemed he wasn't really looking at the field but more like he was lost in memories. He had approached him carefully "Would you like to order some coffee sir?" he had asked shyly, realizing the smell of lavender surrounded the man and had made him feel intoxicated, without glancing his way the stranger had simply shaken his head as a reply, he felt a bit deflated that he had not been able to have his eyes land on him but he understood, this man was not a simple man.

He had looked over at the files on the table as he cleaned, the man still staring at the soccer field blankly, the badge laying on top of the files read "Medical Examiner : Gulf Kanawut", he had smiled. He was a smart man, he made a mental note of the stations name, maybe he could take him a cup of coffee someday.

And just like that a year had passed with him eyeing him from afar from time to time when he dropped by randomly sometimes weeks, even months in between.

He had walked in one day looking a little pale and disoriented, but he had walked up to the counter for the very first time. He remembered standing there and praying he didn't look like a creep but the wide smile he had across his face couldn't be helped, he had been pinning around for this man for a year and today would be the first day they would interchange words.

He had walked up to the counter and leaned on it a bit worrying him, but then those warm dark honey eyes had connected with his and he had known then he wanted this man. He had given him a small weak smile, but it had hooked him like a fish who had been speared. He had asked for a tea not a coffee and he made a mental note he probably did not like it.

That day he had also gotten to put a name to the face of the man who usually met him there and received small smiles from him. Mild, he had felt real anger back then not knowing who this man was to the man he was pinning for, for the very first time the thought of killing someone other than his bitch mother had crossed his mind.
He had to control himself back them and had gone near to hear the conversation. He had smiled widely when he had heard the man call himself his best friend. Great he was not an obstacle.

Soon after he had found himself waiting around the station late wanting to catch glimpses of the man who had not stopped by the café for a while. He missed him; he had found himself following him. It was like this how the great opportunity of finding where he lived and also finding Mild's place, the only other place he ever went to. He needed to be closer small glimpses were not cutting it anymore.

He had taken advantage of knowing they were away at work and snuck in to Mild's place first, he wanted to make sure the relationship was a hundred percent friendship, it where he had found childhood photos or Gulf, he had seen he was brother's with Mild and was happy to know he had already met his brother in law.

He had found pictures of another group of friends, the writing on the back naming them, its also how he had found the adorable nickname, Kana. It fit him to a T and from now on he would call him that. While rummaging he had found a key attached to the cutest kitten keychain and felt like he had won the jackpot. He knew this was fates way of telling him they were meant to be, he had rushed quickly to his Kana's place and almost screamed at the top of his lungs when the door hand unlocked flawlessly!

From then on he had kept staying around him, he had enrolled in school and picked up another job, he had decided he could infiltrate his life and become one of his close friends, but the more he watched the more he realized no one was ever allowed to be close enough to him to become anything more. It's why he had stayed hidden in the shadows for so long, just silently loving the man and watching him.

Flashback ends

All of this had changed now. The pieces were moving together and falling into place. Fate was working in his favor and now it was his time to stop hiding in the shadows and to become his Kana's main source of happiness. He stretched out his hand grabbing a hold of Gulf's "I'm Tul Pakorn" he said smiling widely at him "It's a pleasure to finally meet you". Their time together started now.
