Prologue

"Mama!! Mama!! Look what I can do!!!!" excitedly exclaimed a young girl, no older than the age of 4. Her short orange locks swayed from side to side as she ran to her adoptive mother.

"What is it dear??" 

Small pieces of ice and crystals formed in the young girl's palm. She gazed up at her mother in pride, showing the progress she had made on her ice crystal dragon slaying magic.

"Very good dear!! I'm so proud!!" Crystella, her adoptive mother praised. Crystella was a beautiful large female dragon with a violet skin tone. White sparkly scales spread like specs across her backside. So white and shiny that they could rival snowflakes.

"I'm working hard every day so I can be as strong as you Mama!!!!" the young girl declared.

"And you will be strong one day, my dear little Kaida." Crystella smiled.

4 years ago, Crystella had found a young infant within the depths of the crystalized snowy forest, which she resided in as the king of the Ice-Crystal dragons. With no one around, she took it upon herself to raise the baby. Naming the child Kaida (which means little dragon), Crystella schooled her daughter the meanings of magic, manners, reading, writing and basic educational knowledge. Crystella loved Kaida with all her heart and thought of her as her real daughter. It didn't matter that Kaida was human, Crystella vowed to always protect her. While raising Kaida, Crystella was enlightened about the true meaning of love and was given the privilege of being a mother. Therefore, Crystella had taught her daughter a sacred lost magic known as Dragon Slayer Magic. She believed her daughter had the potential to master it and one day take the title of King. Everything was perfect, until July 7, X777. That dreadful morning when Kaida awoke from her slumber, she realized Crystella was nowhere to be found.

"Mama!!! Where did you go???? Please Mama!!! Don't leave me alone!!!!" Kaida cried. For days, Kaida searched endlessly but sadly all hope of finding her mother was at a loss.

About 2 years had passed since the disappearance of Crystella. Kaida sat dejectedly on a rock, crying her eyes out. She had accepted her fate and was ready to embrace her solitude. Or so she thought.

"Why are you crying?" someone asked.

Kaida looked up to see a young boy who appeared to be at least five years older than her. He had spiky pink hair and onyx coloured eyes. He wore brown trousers with black sandals, finishing the look off with a white scale-like scarf wrapped around his neck.

"My Mama left me!!" Kaida sobbed.

"My Dad left me too, or he kinda flew away. He was a dragon after all." the pinkette described nonchalantly.

"My Mama was a dragon too!" exclaimed Kaida, as she wiped her tear stained face.

"Well in that case, since we are both alone I mean, would you like to come with me? I'm heading back over to Fairy Tail."

"Fairy Tail??" Kaida questioned.

"Fairy Tail is a pretty popular guild full of strong and talented mages. I joined a few years ago and they've definitely helped fill the loneliness that was left behind by Igneel. Anyways you should join, then we can search for our dragons together!!! Plus it'd be nice to have a fellow dragon slayer around!!" the boy explained.
