Chapter 6

NIMUE'S POV:

It's been a few weeks since Lancelot has been stabbed. He's doing a lot better. Me and him have been inseparable for these past few weeks. Right now we are walking through the woods. I heard a snap of a stick and instantly drew my sword. Stood in front of us was a beautiful, blonde haired, skinny girl. She looks like she could be a model. I looked up and seen Lancelot staring her down. " Lily", he whispered. " Yes it's me". They instantly started hugging and I couldn't help but feel a tinge of jealously. I mean, she looks so much better then me. I cleared my throat to let them know I was still there. Lancelot looked happy. I've never seen him that happy with me. Lancelot said " Um Lilly this is my um friend Nimue, Nimue this is Lily. One of my old best friends when I was a kid" Did he just call me his.... friend? I couldn't help but feel a little angry. I'm his girlfriend and he's gonna call me his friend? "Oh Lancelot used to have this HUGE crush on me. At one point I think he was obsessed with me", said Lily. Gods, she even has a beautiful voice. Lancelot was blushing a little and I just looked at him in shock. I need to get out of here. " I um- I need to go check on father. Make sure he doesn't need anything. Sure y'all would like to catch up". I tried not to sound upset but I don't think it worked cause Lancelot started looking at me with sad eyes. I started walking away and he didn't try to stop me. I suddenly felt my eyes welling up with tears. He's gonna leave me for her. She's much more better then I am and knows Lancelot better. I better prepare myself for this heartache. Why in the gods do I keep trusting men?

LANCELOT'S POV:

I cant believe Lily is standing right in front of me! It's been ages since I seen her. I didn't want to introduce Nimue as my girlfriend cause then she will never shut up. She will start assuming I'm obsessed with her. I liked Lily when I was a kid and I was always bugging her. She told me I was obsessed with her but I wasn't. Gods I hope she doesn't tell Nimue that. Like she read my mind, Lily said that. Nimue looked so upset. Told me she had to go make sure her father didn't need anything. I know that ain't true. I know she thinks I'm going to cheat one her, but I'm not. As Nimue walked away I decided not to go after her, as she might need space. I stood staring at her walk away until Lily snapped me out of my gaze.

•a few hours later•

NIMUES POV:

Lily and Lancelot walked through the door smiling and laughing. I couldn't help but feel a little more sadder. I can never make him laugh that much. He deserves better. He looked at me but I walked away. He went to catch up with me but I walked in Pym and Morgana's room and slammed the door and locked it before he could talk to me. Pym and Morgana is looking at me in shocked. I told them what happened and asked them if I could sleep in here tonight. Me and Lancelot share a room, and I didn't want to be near him tonight. After a few hours of not sleeping I decided to just get this over with. I went to our room and  there they was. Like I knew was gonna happen. Lily kissing Lancelot. Lancelot kissing Lily. Thankfully they didn't see me and I ran back to the girls room in tears. I knew I wasn't good enough.
