Lingered memories haunt my mind,
Sharing our vinyls in the midst of July,
I guess they were the times things were easier,
Leaving me questioning what really went wrong?

And in November I wrote you a song,
It's about you being in my dreams for far too long,
But never mind I'll find something new to write on,
Because your soul-stirring blue eyes are starting to grow a bit old.

I know you'll never forget how much I could lie,
My tongue tying rhymes confusing your mind,
But only if you looked far enough into my eyes,
You would see someone dark and left behind.

I know the helplessness never proved us to be wrong,
But I do wonder if that's the reason why you've been gone,
Never mind it gives me time to write another song,
The months in our years drove by silently for far too long.
