Every beginning has a beginning before. There is no true end. Even if the planets of our solar system were destroyed and nothing was left of it, time still remains. And as long as time continues, so will the beginnings.
The night is still. The cold and uninviting moonlight intruding on the silent darkness.
No birds, no crickets, no humans. No life other than my own left to disturb the tranquility.
Or so I thought…
It’s been over six months since the Phylodons destroyed our planet. I’ve been wondering around scavenging and searching for someone. Anyone. My voice has been silenced for so long I've nearly forgotten what it sounds like. The only sounds I know now are the noises I make when I’m eating and the ashes that hush beneath my feet as I unapologetically walk all over them.
Sometimes I can hear the Phylodons screeching. It seems the females have been giving birth about every two weeks. It has gotten harder to hide and even harder to find supplies since they eat anything and everything. I wouldn't be surprised if my time came sooner than I predicted.
Phylodons are aliens from another planet. Scientists discovered a way to contact them through wavelengths using the Earth's Atmosphere. Earth’s outer layer was bigger and strong enough to reach them without damaging Earth's crust if the wavelengths bounced back. The scientists built a satellite called the Alien Intelligence Response, or AIR for short. Like echolocation, they were able to know where and how far the aliens were. Warren Grove and Eli McHaddish were the scientists in charge of this project. It was assigned to them by a Private Government Agency specializing in Universal Foreign Airspace. The operation was called Phylo 6.
