Chapter 19

PART 2:
Delilah's POV:
We really are lost, wandering around with Koda I felt lost. Super lost, I wasn't crying just yet but I was getting close, out of frustration I started pushing through people trying to find Leslie. Making it to the side of the path tears just started pouring out, how could I lose them this quickly,
"Koda-", turning around I realized Koda wasn't near me at all, now I lost him too. I started crying even more, sitting down on the curb I just let myself cry for a bit. I really lost Leslie and Koda,
"Delilah! Lilahhhh", I heard Kodas voice yell out my name, getting up I looked around and saw him pulling Ryan behind him. The rest of the group I noticed was staying by the giraffes but they looked worried too. Running towards Koda, a pair of arms wrapped around me and I instantly knew the scent was Leslie's. Leslie wrapped her arms around me and kept a super strong grip, I clung to her shirt,
"Baby I thought you were gone, I thought I lost you"
"I'm right here", I said softly, she gently grabbed my hand and pulled me towards Koda and Ryan and we went back to the group. Leslie kept me next to her the entire time, we explored all of the animals until we decided it was dinner time, for lunch we had ate sandwiches and I shared mine with Leslie since I didn't eat very much. Taking us back towards the entrance of the zoo we entered a zoo restaurant that stayed near the entrance. The restaurant had a little gift shop in the front and then dining in the back so Bea went to go get the reservations with Liam on her side clinging to her. Walking around I looked at all the stuffed animals,
"Leslie uh Can Can i get a stuffed animal", I spoke quietly and softly. Feeling embarrassed to ask,
"Of course love but only a small one since I won't forget you running off earlier", nodding I walked around until my eyes caught sight of a white tiger stuffed animal. Immediately I ran up and grabbed the tiger into my hands,

"This one",Leslie grabbed it gently from my hands and paid for it. Soon after, beas name was called the lady lead us to a big circle booth and all the littles were put in the middle. Koda had chosen a frog stuffed animal,Sophia got a black jaguar, and Liam had gotten a Lion stuffed animal,
"Bug what do you want", Leslie asked tapping my thigh to gain my attention. Dropping my crayons I looked at what Leslie was pointing too at the menu,
"Can I have lemonade?"
"Yes but you need food too"
"I want whatever you're getting", I said and went back to my coloring. In the corner of my eye I saw her smile a little bit but she sighed, Ryan stifled a laugh as he knew my response frustrated Leslie. Coloring in my picture on the kids menu, Leslie pulled me closer to her and gave me my lemonade that was put in a kids cup. Grabbing it with both hands I drank it out of the green straw and saw she was sipping beer, Leslie picked up a yellow crayon and played tic tac toe with me,
"Gimme the red crayon Liam"
"No I'm using it"
"Give me it! Or else I won't be your friend"
"Stop being such a bitch", my head picked up at Liam calling Sophia a bitch and so did everyone else's. Bea scolded Liam and decided to separate them, so Liam sat by Bea on the edge and Ryan sat next to Sophia while Liam and I stayed together. Leslie seemed surprised because Liam is usually the quiet one and Bea looked flustered at his behavior. Eventually the waiter came back with a smile still on her face as she set the food on the table, Leslie put grilled cheese in front of me and she had a grilled chicken sandwich in front of her. Grabbing my fries I started munching on them and I saw Koda had gotten a burger with curly fries. His burger was cut in half so I gave him half my grilled cheese and he gave me half his burger. Happy I ate my food, I didn't eat all of it but I gave Leslie one of my fries which she took happily too. I didn't eat all of my food because Ryan said that all of us would be rewarded dessert since we didn't have any other issues after Koda and I got lost. Leslie pulled me on to her lap and let me look through the dessert menu, my eyes met the brownie that had vanilla ice cream on it with gummy worms all over it plus whipped cream and some cookie crumble. They named the dessert mud pie and my fingers pointed at it excitedly, Leslie squeezed my side gently and kissed me behind my ear. Leslie whispered a soft "yes princess" and waited for everyone else to let their littles choose something. I leaned into her gently and she kept her arms wrapped around me, she is my home and everything with her made me feel so comforted. I can't imagine living without her being there with me, every achievement I want to be shared with her and every step I want her to be holding my hand. Leslie hummed and I listened to the vibrations coming from her, eventually the waiter came around again and took our orders and dropped off the check and dessert. Grabbing the spoon I took some of the warm brownie and gave it to Leslie. Leslie and I shared my dessert and it tasted so delicious, once we paid the check we walked out into the cold evening air and parted our ways. Leslie took my hand and led me to the car, it was pretty cold so when we got into the car she grabbed her jacket from the back and put it over me. Yawning I watched our car pull out of the parking lot and i started feeling tired, glancing at Leslie one last time I let myself drift off to sleep...
