I don't want to be overburdened by this string any longer
it binds me and entangles me in its reach
it tells me I must conform to it,
must never try to break free,
and all it offers is an or else as to whyI'm ready to find out if I'm right about what or else means
don't break free,
or else you'll feel happy
don't break free,
or else I'll no longer have control over you
don't break free,
or else you won't be bound by society
don't break free,
I'm afraid of judgement so you have to be toobut the thing is,
I don't.
I could stand alone in a field just dancing,
or start dancing out in public,
or laughing maniacally to some childishly funny joke,
but instead I'm sitting here anxiously waiting for this to end.enough is enough.
I release your bind on me.
may my soul never be entangled again,
and may my heart and soul and mind and self and everything find true happiness.I am free.
