"What the hell? Is that even allowed?!" Gajeel exclaimed and I couldn't help but grin at this and shake my head.

"Oh dear gods, Erza. You better not take too long" I said as if she could hear me and Gajeel looked at me as if I was crazy.

"Yeah, for Erza it's not a matter of 'if' she can win, it's 'how long' it will take" Mira chimed, a smile on her face as she looked at her rival.

So, the battle began. Everyone knew how incredibly skilled Erza was. Her split second judgement and reaction time allowed her to get the advantage every battle. Though, the monsters were clearly no easy fight. By about 50 monsters down, she looked extremely tired. Constantly swapping armor and weapons must of taken it out of her. Not to mention there was no sign of the S class monster.

By the time 4 opponents were left, Erza returned to her usual set of armor. With each attack she seemed to grow more tired.  Still, she fought with elegance and confidence. Even when 99 were down, she looked on at the last monster with a glare. It was a small creature that moved around quite a lot as she fought. It was the only one of it's kind, so as soon as I saw it I knew it had to be the S-class one.

When everyone thought she'd been overpowered, she beat the odds and won. Standing tall and even apologizing that the fight had taken so long. The crowd went absolutely wild, and even I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. We were making a comeback, even if it was the other team.  Now, because all the monsters were destroyed, they used a more boring method of determining power. Using the magic power finder, they'd rank each mage's strength.

I couldn't help but look over at Cana and face palm, seeing the sheer number of alcohol barrels on the field. And she's still drinking?! Honestly, I don't even know how she's still alive at this point.

"The boozer's drinking on the job" Gajeel says in disbelief.

"Looks like our team isn't scoring this round" Laxus says, practically giving up all hope he had for the girl. Mira was not even surprised at this point at the fact that the girl was drunk. Though, I hadn't given up hope at this point. No matter how much she drinks, she seems to sober up in the blink of an eye. And there was still something different about her, I just couldn't place my finger on it.

Milianna went up and attacked the MPF first, scoring 365. I was curious as to how the power was measured, and I would probably use Jura as a power reference, since he's one of the wizard saints. Though, according to the council commentator it was a very good score.

Next, the representative of Quadro puppy got 124, which was lower compared to Milianna.

I had a feeling Hibiki wouldn't do well, since his magic is less strength based. He got a score of 95, and you could tell he was disappointed. Though, he shouldn't be, knowing full well what his magic is geared towards.

Next was the weird blue thing that attacked Wendy, Obra from Raven Tail. He scored what I assumed would be the lowest, 4 points. I let out a hum in thought, the score being quite low for a guild hand picked to counter ours. I wonder if he's hiding his strength or if he isn't suited towards physical combat. All I know is that he drains magic quickly.

Sabertooth's representative; Orga, was up next. He used a technique of black lightning, gaining a score of 3825. Based on his magic, I assume he's a god slayer like Sherria. He took first place, though I had a feeling it wouldn't be like that for long. From beside me, I noticed a smirk appear on Laxus' face. I turned to look at him oddly.

"Cool. You found a lightning playmate" I teased with a grin, and he paused and looked at me, Gajeel and Mira laughing from my words. There was a slight pink tint on his cheeks, though my brain didn't register is cause he had hit me over the head.

"Ow!" I exclaimed, glaring at the lightning dragon slayer before looking back at the arena.

Jura was next and before even attacking the MPF, he gave of incredible magic power. The crazy strong blast landed a score of 8544, stealing away first place from Sabertooth. With all of that out of the way, there was only one person left.

"Cana, I swear to the gods" I mumble, my eyes narrowing at the drunk girl. I watched in confusion as she took off her coat, but then my eyes caught something on her arm.

"It's time to assemble! A river of light that's guarded by fairies! Shine your light so that I may vanquish the fangs of wickedness!" A golden light bathed the arena as she cast the spell, and I couldn't help but look on in awe. "Fairy Glitter!" I could tell the attack was sheer power. I smiled along with the rest of my team, looking at the amount of damage the move did. She destroyed the MPF, leaving the numbers 9999 as a glitching mess. It was like it was still going up.

We had taken first and second place by a landslide, and I couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of joy. Fairy Tail was back, and it was stronger then ever.
