To read this book one must be open minded, however, if at any point you feel like you are judging the characters, the religion, or the author...well you are fullfiling your role.
If you think you are reading another cliche book based on a Muslim girl trying to cope in the western world, then I have to say you are wrong. Yes, it is about a Muslim girl named Zahida and her jorney in life, but this book is like nothing you have read so far. This book goes in depth and talks about the real problems, the ugly truths, and the dark secrets that many people have, yet are too scared to share. Just remeber, as you turn the page, I will be revealing what was hidden for centuries: the truth.
You don't have to be Muslim to relate to this, you just have to be a human being.
