Chappy 2 - New Future for the Two

You listened intently. You could hear panting. It was definitely a person, but why were they running? It wasn't usually common for nightly joggers. You grabbed your brother under his arms and sat him on the branch with his legs dangling off the tree. You waited for the steps to come closer. That's when you saw the person. It was a woman. As she ran, she kept looking behind herself with a look of fear in her eyes that was illuminated by the light of her flashlight.

When she was directly below you, you jumped from the tree with your knife out and tackled her. While you were above her, she was panting and whimpering. She tried to squirm away but you held her down. You brought your knife to her neck and made a line across.

She screamed and you enjoyed how loud she was but you didn't want her to alarm anyone. So, you killed her. And yes, you still had this sadistic thirst for blood. As did your brother. You stood up and looked up at your brother. You held out your arms to him and he jumped down. You caught him swiftly, it was obvious that this was routine.

You settled him on the ground and let him have his snack. Your brother is, of course, a cannibal and his teeth were razor sharp. Maybe even sharper. You made sure no one was around as your brother fed upon the woman. Your mind was still thinking about the person or thing that was chasing her. It didn't seem to be around anymore. What could it have been? A wolf maybe? No... you would have heard it.

You looked at your brother again. He got so hungry so easily. Just about three hours ago you gave him one of your kills as you ate some berries. He tore that guy up. He's constantly hungry, most likely, thinking "Eat or be eaten". Of course, that didn't change the fact he was as tiny as a twig. Probably because human meat wasn't a good source of protein or nutrients. You looked at your brother's pray. She seemed to have something in her hand. You picked it up and it appeared to be notes. Five of them. You picked up the woman's flashlight. They appeared to read "Always watches with no eyes" or drawing of a figure with a black suit but... no face.

As you waited, you heard something strange. It was white noise. It was weird and eerie, like you shouldn't have been hearing it then. You weren't loosing your hearing so, what could it be? Why were you hearing it here? Then, you felt a presence. You looked up from where you were starring and saw... It. Whatever "it" was, it looked something like a man. An inhuman one. An unkind one.

You were frozen for seconds. The thing seemed to have no breath in the air and the man reminded you of the poorly drawn pictures on the notes you saw. You noticed your brother was closer to him, or it, than you.

"TOMMY!!!" You shouted.

Your brother looked up. He was met with the man, the tall, slender man. You ran to your brother and grabbed him. But your pace seemed to be too quick so you ended up turning and scraping your back as you caught your brother in your arms. Your brother, Tommy, was safe in your lap and that was all that mattered to you. You quickly put your brother behind you and stood up with your knife out in defense.

"What the hell are you!!!?" You shouted at it.

The man moved forward as if to touch you. You stepped back. Although, there was a tree root that caused you to trip and fall. Now, you were vulnerable. You were about to stand up and fight back once again until you saw Tommy behind the slender man. He ran towards it and bit his teeth into it. The monster seemed to be unfazed and it turned towards your brother.

You used this as a distraction to stabbing it but you were suddenly grabbed. It was a tentacle that seemed to have grabbed you. You screamed as it picked you up off the ground and you were faced with the monster. Then, you noticed you couldn't be faced with it. Because it had no face.

You gasped as you saw your brother squirming under another tentacle's grasp. You looked back at the faceless man with an expression of anger.

"LET HIM GO OR I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU!!!!" You yelled at it, struggling under it's grasp.
