(This is a 3rd person perspective chapter, following Blair)

As Blair got up from her dimly lit corner of the now decrepit library, she couldn't help but take mental note of her surroundings.

Everything from creaking floor boards, to the same low, broken growling as before, seemed to make her more aware of her surroundings; while simultaneously distracting her.

Then, as far as visuals, and textures go; Blair walked across a carpet far too soft for a library, while droplets of water, and condensation fell down through the ever-present cracks in the ceiling. A toppled over bookshelf, and the stale air, are all that separates her from whomever, or whatever is making that sound.

"What it could be" Blair muttered to herself. "An animal? A person? Or just the way the building is settling... I wonder."

Blair grew closer to the sound, just past the bookshelf; the sound grew quieter, though louder still.

The sound was still that of a broken growl, only now it was becoming higher in pitch, while growing lower in frequency. One might even compare it to a wheezing, or even a snoring, of some sort.

As Blair crept around the bookshelf, the sound ceased.

Blair now stood adjacent to the fallen bookshelf, staring off into the empty space before her; or so it seemed.

For Blair was stuck in her head; no longer aware of the concrete world's presence... no longer part of the concrete world's presence, not in a physical manner, anyway.

It was almost like she was disappearing from existence; almost like a glitch in a game, being coded out.
