"finally the last day of the sports week!" junseo said as he lift both of lift hands up. "my whole body hurts," hwasung said as well. "i think i'll be sleeping for the whole day tomorrow," ahrin added.
it's finally the last day of the sports week. today, the closing ceremony is held. the winners of the competition will be announced and the school with the most medals will receive a huge trophy.
and a good news for the students, the school will be closed for the rest of the week in order to let the students to have a rest. this thing sure makes everyone happy.
currently the four of them, are sitting at the crowded auditorium. waiting for the ceremony to start.
"where did you and that friend of yours go yesterday? we didn't even see you until the end of the day," ahrin asked hwasung.
"huh? just roaming around the school and then suddenly doyoung came out of nowhere and gave me a job," hwasung answered truthfully.
"that's all?"
"yeah? what else would there be?" hwasung asked in return.
"how long have you know him?" hajoon asked. to them, it's really weird to see hwasung knowing someone outside school. she's a complete homebody and introvert. it sounds so impossible.
"i've known him since nine if i didn't count it wrongly."
everyone's eye widened. "wHAT?! you've known him for that long and we didn't know?? i feel so betrayed," junseo gasped while putting a betrayed expression.
hwasung rolled her eyes. "but i haven't meet him for five years already."
"why?" hajoon asked. "because he moved away. he used to live in the same neighborhood with me," hwasung answered.
"how close are you with him?" hajoon asked again. hwasung bit her lips while thinking. how close is she with jake? she has never thought of it before.
"i don't know?" hwasung answered. "but i can say he's a very important person to me. since we all went to the same elementary school, you guys probably recall that my bestfriend back then was seyoon. well she's not my first bestfriend, jake was."
"he sure is important to you huh?" ahrin said. "yeah," hwasung replied. "he's the first person to ever listen to my problems, ask me if i'm fine and tell me that he's here for me. he's the reason why i love the night and stars more then anything. but he's also my first biggest regret."
"biggest regret? what do you mean?" ahrin asked confused. "like i said, he listen to my problems and cheer for me. but after he left, i realized something. i've never listen to him. i didn't ask about his life, i didn't ask if he's doing fine, i didn't tell him that i'll be here for him as well. i've only 'take' you know? i didn't give anything in return," hwasung tell ahrin, with a regretful expression.
ahrin patted her, "it's okay. now he's back isn't he? you can ask him. you can tell him everything you didn't get the chance to say back then."
hwasung smiled in return.
"good morning everyone! let's start the closing ceremony shall we?" the greeting doyoung said over the mic stopped their conversation.
everyone fixed their sitting and faced towards the stage.
hwasung still has her smile plastered on her face. she can't wait to listen to jake.
