Let me tell you the story of Himiki Hakari

Now in mamas life she was part of a very strong guild, but that guild screwed me over and left me alone with the same curse the most "dangerous" man in the world had, it turns out this dangerous man was sweet and kind, he is better known as your father. Mama and Dada went far far away to work with our magical powers from the curse instead of letting it affect us and one afternoon when I was all alone, Himiki Hakari had come to retrieve me to bring me back to the guild. I declined and we had a short battle, it ended with mama telling her that she was in a mean guild, she could be better, do better! Be an independent person and she did. Himiki Hakari lived with your father and I and we took care of this stray girl as if she was our own, but, everything came so quick, so sudden... the world we knew collapsed and i watched Himiki Hakari and your father disappear before my eyes. I ended up waking up from a coma, the doctors say it was just a coma but I know that's not true, I lived my life in that world and awakened in another with your father but Himiki Hakari never did. When I gave birth to you I felt her presence in you, you are Himiki Ashley Dragneel, the reincarnation of Himiki Hakari, i just know it.

That is the story of your name, do you like it? isn't it beautiful? I wonder what you will be in your next life! My dear if I were to go at any moment I think I would be... oh stars I don't even know!! I guess that's for me to decide when the time comes...

I set down the letter, mama never told me what she truly thought she would be, she never told us lots of stuff. I sometimes wonder if she is in my life now, reincarnated already, protecting me, but that's for the heavens to decide.

Every single day I read over the letters, all sixteen of the letters. She wrote a letter for nearly every single birthday and I would receive it the day after from an unknown sender. Who knows how many more letters i'll receive? She never said when she would stop sending them, I could have two more or I could have sixty more!! Yet it shouldn't be of my concern just now, my birthday isn't for another week.

"Himiki! We have to go in like ten minutes! What are you doing now?" I heard from downstairs, placing the letters back in the drawer of my dresser and running downstairs to see my twin brother, Zachary, holding the smoothie he made for me, impatiently waiting at the front door.

I glanced at my phone "fifteen minutes Zachary" I said and grabbed the smoothie and my backpack.

"Uniform?" Zachary asked, looking at my pyjamas seeing how I was clearly distracted by something else. "And I told you, it's just Zach" he said, he hated whenever I called him Zachary.

"Yeah i'll go get that, Zachary" I replied, mocking him and running up the stairs to grab my uniform which consisted of a knee length black skirt, a white button up collared t-shirt and a classic tie.

As we reached the school I heard a familiar voice shouting my name in the distance, as I turn around I was immediately tackled into a hug by none other than my cousin, Alana Dragneel, uncle Natsu and auntie Lisanna's daughter.

"Himiki! I have to tell you something so important" She exclaimed while pinning me down on the ground in the middle of the field.

"No let ME tell her!" Another familiar voice yelled, sweeping Alana off me onto the ground as they starting fighting with one another. Wrestling with Alana was my best friend Aiya Fernandes, a scarlet haired beauty like her mother Erza with the toughness of her father Jellal.

"okay okay Aiya, Alana, please, what's so important you have to fight over who gets to tell me?!" I exclaimed, pulling the two apart.

"The dance! The school dance! it's happening next week and-" Alana shouted before being interrupted by Aiya

"-And there's a boy who was gonna ask you to go to the dance with him and you know him real well and he likes-" Aiya said, panting, before she was interrupted by yet another voice behind me.

"Oh no I guess the bell is gonna ring! Hey Himiki why don't we go inside" The male voice said while grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the school

"But Rei we were talking about boys!" I whined

"Yeah well what if you're late for class?" He replied

"Class isn't for another five minutes" I said

"It's better to be early" He said, he glanced at me then sighed "Shut up anyways"

"Just like your mother huh? Always gotta be early or exactly on time, mister smartypants" I mocked him. Rei was Levy and Gajeels son, a very close family friend of ours since Levy was my mother's best friend. Rei and I grew up together, he always took after his dad in the sense he was tall, had black hair, and is extremely overprotective, but, his manners and attitudes are much like his mothers.

"So what? At least i'm not short" He said as we went to my locker and he stood close to me to show me how much taller he was than me, I stomped on his foot while continuing to rummage around my locker for my textbook.

"Hey so Alana and Aiya were talking to me about the dance and they mentioned there was someone who was gonna ask me to the dance but I mean that's crazy, who the hell would ask me? But anyways, have any idea who it would be?" I asked, shutting my locker to face him.

"No." He said shortly "Just because I know all the dudes better than you dosent mean we talk about that kinda stuff about it all the time, maybe Prince? Ykno Leo and Aries kid, the snobby prissy one?" He said

"Oh god not Prince" I sighed "He'a so stuck up, he thinks he can get any girl he wants just cause he has a pretty face and money. I hate him so much Rei, I just wanna punch him dead in the face and break his nose or something" I said as the bell rang

"Yeah, sucks to be you dosent it?" He laughed, receiving a punch in the arm from me. "Ouch" he said, rubbing his arm all dramatic like a baby "That really hurt me Himiki, say sorry or i'll cry" He said, fake pouting at me.

"Meh meh mehh" I mocked, fake pouting back at him. He smiled at me and stared at me for a second before shaking his head and looking away

"Yeah okay whatever dummy i'll see you after class" He said, ruffling my hair and walking off.

"See you then Rei" I waved, watching him as he walked away, wondering why he stared at me... and why I didn't just tell him the truth.
