RUEL'S POV

We already had dinner and everyone was in the living room, watching TV.

Why was her so quiet? Probably because I shouldn't have been that rude to her...But it was just a façade, I'm not like this. I have to prove her that I'm not like this. I looked into her bright eyes, she looked defenseless... I mean, imagine being locked with someone you don't know and for God knows how many time

- Can you please meet me on the balcony in ten?- I asked. I had an idea.

-yeah sure- she said

LIV'S POV

I had no idea why he wanted to meet me... but I couldn't help but to feel exited. I text my mom I was alright and brushed my teeth. Time to go down then!

I saw him just sitting in a chair looking at the empty sky.

- hi- I say sitting next to him

- I thought that you weren't going to come- he replied

- why?-

- because I was being cold towards you- he shrugged

- I wasn't very receptive neither- I played with the ends of my hoodie looking down

- it might sound a little bit cliché but I think we should start again. We're going to be living together for some time...- he laughed. I never heard any laugh that could be compared to his. The magical sound warmed my hearth - I'm Ruel- he said putting his hand out for me to shake it

-hi, I'm Olivia, nice to meet you- I smiled while shaking his hands, they were somehow hot on this chilly weather (authors note: I don't actually know how are the springs in Australia, so if this is wrong, I'm sorry in advance)

- so I heard that you were here to look for apartments to stay while you'll be studying here-

-yeah, I will need some help because I haven't found none-

- I'm willing to help you as soon as we get out of here- he smiled again.

-sooo I heard that you're a singer- I declared

- yep, that's what they say...- he laughed

We continue getting to know each other for a while and suddenly we were having a deep conversation

- it's crazy how everything has stopped- he stated

-I always wanted a break, like to put pause to my life, get my shit together and then continue watching the movie of my life but I didn't mean to shut the world down-

- I can relate- he sighed. I didn't know that he could feel this way... i get that he's also a normal person but he only has to sign, right? No exams, no school... for me that would be a no-stress life

-you do?-

-yeah... the last years have been a blur: signing with a discography, trying to manage school and singing, then having to drop out from school which means that I'm practically illetrate, being pressured to write new things... it all happened so fast, but now that I have had the chance to watched from another perspective... sometimes I wish it's was like always-

Wow I didn't expect that. How could I have been so judgmental?

-that's a lot- there was pause but somehow I was sure that our brains were making so much noise that couldn't go out

RUEL'S POV

I'm so thankful for getting to know her and starting over again. Even though I just met her, I have talked about more deep topics than I have with my friends on two years. She was too mature and responsible for our age, and when I was talking to her, I felt heard and that her advice was sincere. but I'm sure she also has a goofy side that will be discovered over time, when she gains confidence.

-I'm sorry that I was so cold before, it was just because I didn't know if you recognized me and I was overthinking to much. There's a time when you don't know who approaches you because of your fame or because of yourself- I felt so relieved to finally saying it out loud

- don't worry, I get it. But I'm happy we get to know each other. In fact, I didn't know you were a singer... but I've listened your songs and I really liked them- she said trying to not to yawn but she failed- sorry haha

- we should probably go to sleep- I stated while standing up. She passed by me with her hands folded on her hoodie, smiling slightly. I noticed all the lights were off so I tried to light them when I sensed she going backwards quickly

- what are you doing?- I whispered but she didn't stopped, instead, she went running to the balcony

- Willbur- she replied standing up in a chair. I looked forwards and distinguished Willbur's figure in the dark and I grabbed him

-relax! He's not going to bite you, he's quite calm and he would never hurt a fly- I said walking towards her slowly

-what are you doing?- she whispered loudly

- give me your hand-

-what? Are you crazy?! No!

- it's just for Willbur to smell it- I saw her thinking and handing me her hand. I took it and put it in front of Willbur's nose. Olivia stiffed while Willbur was smelling it. He suddenly licked it

-uggghh- ... exclaimed

- my fault- I giggled

- okay, can you stop being the dog charmer for a moment? I'm tired and I want to wash my hand- she half laughed

- I will, but I'm gonna end your dog fear

-sure but can you do it tomorrow?- she replied getting off the chair.

I grabbed Willbur while she washed her hands on the sink and until she went upstairs.

-goodnight – she whispered on her door frame

-goodnight- I replied before I saw her door being closed slowly
