Chapter one

I was always the popular girl I was curvy in all the right places. I had long silky brown hair slight tan to my skin. I had hazel/gold like eyes.

I had the perfect guy, the perfect friends, the perfect family that was until the accident. That is when my life started going out of control and when I met him.

My parents had been brutally murdered along with my brother who gave his life to hide me when I was 15. I had to move in with my Godmother to this small town in Washington.

I'm 17 now in my senior year as the quiet girl in the small town of Wolfwater I know its a weird name, but the name came from the tales of werewolves originating from this town.

Anyways lets get on with this.

"Octavia? Octavia!'' I snap out of it to see Ms. Green staring at me "Is what I'm teaching boring to you Miss Winter?" I feel heat rise to my cheeks "No Ms. Green of course not"

she gives me a stern look "good now back to the lector" I let out air I didn't even know I was holding in. I look at Maddie next me she has this gold shoulder length hair with these green eyes in other words she's really pretty.

She THAT girl you know the one guys want and the girls want to be.

she's my best friend.

She gives me a goofy smile. "zoning out again? what is going on with you lately" I shrug my shoulders "I don't know it's nothing" I catch her looking at Alec I roll my eyes "Really Alec? come on you know very well he is not good news"

she looks back at me "that's because you're the only girl who doesn't seem interested in him you don't like anyone for that matter even though poor Cole has been crushing on you since you got here"

I turn to look at Cole he catches me looking he gives his signature sheepish smiles that could make you melt. You look away heat rising to your face. Maddie giggles ''you keep turning him down and he wont give up until you do" i sigh looking at Ms. Green writing on the board.

Maddie huffs in frustration "will you at least come to the bonfire tonight at the beach?" I turn to her to say no when she gives me her puppy eyes. i put my hands to my face "okay I will I will"

someone taps my shoulder i turn around to see Dylan passing me a note i look at him confused about to ask who its from, but he beats me to it "Cole and i took liberty of reading it"

he says with a sly smile. Meet Dylan he is my other best friend the class clown but don't be mistaken with his brown curly hair and gray eyes baby face he can string any heart.

I nod and turn back Maddie squeals quietly "open it!!" I role my eyes and chuckle it had said

" Hey Octavia i was wondering if you were going to the bonfire? and if you are... are you going with someone? if not i would like to take you if you're up for it"

I pass it to Maddie so she can read it as i turn around to look at Cole he tilts his head with a big grin on his face. you see Maddie passing it back.

"wait i didn't write anything" she give me an innocent face "yes you did you said that you would like to go with him" you glare at her as she giggles quietly.

i turn to see Cole smile hard i have never seen him this happy.

I feel someone staring i find Alec staring i gave him a confused look but he immediately looked away

The bell rang i stood up and walked out i went to my locker with Maddie. I caught Alec staring only this time he didn't look away. I sighed in annoyance "wait here Maddie" she looks confused

I start walking towards Alec he looked surprised anyone was coming up to him sense no one comes up to him well because he can be scary.

I cross my arms with an annoyed expression " why are you staring at me? Its weird!" He chuckles and rolls his eyes

"i know what happened to your parents" my face dropped

"What?"
