Chapter one.

The breeze from the AC touched the warmth of my skin as I lay down on the couch with a bottle of beer in my hand, hardly awake.

The night before was my bachelors party and the guys and I rampaged the place with alcohol and girls.

"Bang Bang!!"

A loud bang at the door but I was so tired I couldn't get up, the bang was a heavy knock on the door, it got louder and louder but despite that I was just to lazy and tired to get up and I kept falling back to sleep.

Suddenly my phone rang and just as I was about to pick it up, Joel who looking fatigue in his underwear and also with a bottle of Jameson in his hand opened the door. As soon as the door was opened Salimu walked in and looking furious, his head looked like it would explode, and when he saw what was happening he shouted.

"Benjamin!...What the heck bruv!"

Salimu was in shock that every one in the house was not ready as we were running behind time, every one was a mess.

"Guys come on! No... please!... Ben you have less than 45 min and your wedding ceremony will begin but look at you, a total mess bro!"

I immediately snapped out upon hearing that I had less than 45 min left

"Oh snap! My wedding starts in 45?." I said, shockingly looking at the time on my wrist watch.

" Crab!" I exclaimed, "I haven't bought the ring yet!" I said while holding Salimu's shoulders as if it was his fault and trying to relay a message for someone to do that asap. "I thought I can buy today this morning at Sterns Jewelry, Shit!!" I continued knowing well that Salimu will be able to fix this.

I pretended to be stuck and Salimu, who bought my play quickly hauled me to the shower to get me ready and asked Evans to get up quickly and buy the rings, since he was to be one of my groomsmen and also the one to hold the ring. Salimu was the brain amongst my friends. He is the friend that everyone runs to when I need of help or advise and well he was the only person with sense amongst all of us.

        25 minutes on the clock till my wedding and I wasn't ready,I was done showering but burnt my jacket when pressing .

I got really frustrated and started breaking bottles of alcohol that were in the room and cussing and only to be mocked by Musonda who still had a hang over and was laying almost lifeless when Salimu had walked in.

I asked him if he couldn't see that I was running out of time and I needed a miracle helper and while making a mock out of the situation he said, "You're a mess bro!" He exclaimed mockingly and continued, " I don't know why you decided to press your Jacket again when it was ok, but anyways Just wear my jacket, I'll put on the extra which came in, its my perfect size even though one button is out."

At that point I felt relieved I picked it up on the couch where all other Jackets and suits lay and quickly put it on and started rushing for the door when Evans opened it and we bumped into each other making the ring fall off of his hand, I quickly picked up the ring. The ring was a sight to behold, a sparkling masterpiece that seemed to radiate its own light. Nestled at the center was a brilliant-cut diamond, dazzling with its multi-faceted sparkle. The diamond was surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds, each one expertly set to enhance the beauty of the centerpiece.

The band itself was crafted from the finest platinum, expertly molded to fit comfortably on the finger while still maintaining its strength and durability. The platinum gleamed with a mirror-like finish, adding to the ring's overall luster. As one looked closer, they would notice the intricate detailing that adorned the band. Tiny diamonds were set in a delicate pattern along the sides of the band, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the design.
