Chapter Twenty Three

Meaning kahit 1-2 sections lang which would've been fine since a lot of us have been talking to numerous sections already, I even asked for Hyunsuk's help. Tas ngayon, dadagdagan ng pa-booth?

"Tangina, seryoso ba talaga 'to?" I whispered for the nth time and Jeno, who is sitting beside me, lowered his laugh to silently laugh. I glanced at him who eventually nodded.

I looked at Hana who is obviously stressed out since her group developed a proposal, not a product like my group with Nol, Jaemin, and Jeno; our group and Chenle's group lang ang may products as midterms sa mga subjects na nag-collab, the rest are proposals.

Hindi ko tuloy maistorbo at masabi na guluhin namin yung faculty para ibahin yung plano nila for midterms.

"Pwede bang written exam na lang ulet?" Chenle whined and Jeno patted his back while smiling with his friend's joke. "Willing naman kami mag-memorize ulit." He says as if 'di product ang ip-present nila.

Hana rested her forehead on her desk and Nol and I laughed because Jaemin was frozen on his spot when he saw Hana. "Sir, final na po ba yan?" He asks out of the blue.

"I guess you can say, like the final draft. Since, of course we're considering yung mga proposals ang midterms." Hana shot her head up and our professor got surprised kaya natawa kami. "Someone calm Hana down."

Jaemin faced Hana, shakes his head and mouthed a wag. Nanlaki mata ko because he seemed so playful! Nol and Jeno laughed because Hana mouthed back an I won't. I faced Jeno and he just nods to me, "Ganyan talaga yan, madrama rin."

"Kaya pala nakasundo." I said and Jeno laughed.

"Sus, makakasundo mo rin yan." He jokes and I gape at him while furrowing my eyebrows. "Sorry po." He says in defeat at yumuko pa, pero syempre ako, masama pa rin ang titig.

Chenle laughed, "Takot din eh."

"Pagsabihan mo 'tong tropa mo, ah?" Siga kong sabi kay Chenle na umoo naman which made me smile. "Bat 'di pa kasi nif-finalize sa mismong faculty tas tamo, magbabago ulit yan." I tell Nol who just sighs out of the same frustration.

At dahil nagkaka-gulo na naman sa room, "Sir, kung Wednesday to Saturday ang midterms and possible presentation, pano po yung sa written exams?" Hana asked and bigla namang tumahimik which made Nol and I laugh silently.

"Ang nakalagay sa draft is Wednesday and Thursday mornings are already enough for the written exams then tuloy na sa presentation, Friday is reserved mostly for the clubs and organizations pero plan na rin i-set up yung booths for both Friday and Saturday."

We all nodded and when another student asked a question, dun na nabaling atensyon ng prof.

"Sana wala na ako gawin by Friday and Saturday." Hana whined at natawa si Jaemin dahil yun agad ang inalala ni Hana.

"Wala pa nga."

"Ah, wala pa ba, sorry sorry." I rolled my eyes which made them laugh. "Ano, Ryujin, kausapin na ba natin?" She asks while nodding to the faculty which is just near our room.

Sabi na nga bang siya magi-initiate eh...

"Oh, kalmahan lang." Our prof said and all of us laughed. He then checked his phone, "Sige, just stay here, guys, mukhang may response na faculty." He said and walks out of the room.

"Naramdaman ata yung threat nila Hana at Ryujin." Chenle said and while Hana laughed, I glared at him, and just like Jeno, he lowered his head and apologized.

I glanced at Hana and I laughed because she looks so pissed while texting someone on her phone so malamang nagra-rant na naman, I nudge Nol and nod to Hana, "Tignan mo tropa mo, walang paawat."

Nol laughed and motioned me to let it be, napatingin naman si Chenle sa kanya at natawa rin, "Oh, kalmahan lang." He said, copying what our professor said, Jaemin and Jeno suppressed a laugh but Nol and I were surprised.

Hana shot her head up and made face to Chenle who did the same thing! Natawa si Jaemin kaya inambangan siya ng suntok ni Hana, syempre tumiklop din, "Sorry po." She went back to texting so Jaemin faced Nol, "Si Chenle nang-asar tas ako gusto suntukin."

"Bad trip eh." Nol said.

"Ano connect?"

"Andami mong tanong." Hana rebutted so Jaemin just pouted. And since Hana is so immersed na naman sa phone niya, I faced Nol who immediately raised a brow.

Tanginang 'to. "May sabihin ako sayo mamayang dismissal."

"Bat 'di pa ngayon?"

"Eh prof may come back any minute." I reasoned and she nodded. "About Seunghun." She blinked and even avoided my gaze, makapag-inarte kala mo 'di pumalag sa GC nung isang araw. She eventually nodded, "Well, wala ka rin namang choice, hihilain kita eh."

"Gago!" Natatawa niyang sabi, what I said is true, though, hihilain ko talaga 'to pag umayaw.

'Di rin nagtagal, bumalik na ang prof namin sa room kaya tumahimik kaming lahat. "Okay so good news." He started and I shake my head when Hana legit threw her phone inside her bag to listen.

"Napag-kasunduan ng faculty na yung mga proposals ang midterms, they will continue to present to other professors and other classrooms." A lot of us cheered and again, Nol and I laughed when Hana cussed out of relief.

"They're still deciding if sa Friday or sa Saturday na lang ulit." We all nodded. "However, for the ones that has food products, may mga booths na ip-prepare and it will be held for two days, Friday to Saturday."

"Teka, so sir, Wednesday and Thursday, we will present our products to professors and other strands then Friday and Saturday are for the booths?" Yuqi asked, ang highkey magastos kasi kung ganon nga.

"You wouldn't need to present on Thursday anymore, sa Wednesday lang to give room for suggestions and adjustments." Now it's our turn to sigh a relieved one which made our prof laugh. "So, relax na kayo and asikasuhin niya dapat asikasuhin. Go talk to your group-mates for the remaining time."

Matic tumayo si Hana to walk to her group dahil siya lang nahiwalay samin ni Nol. "Since approved naman na yung mga ip-present natin, I think let's just have back-up meals? In case may mag-suggest?" Jeno said.

"Dami nilang arte." I said and he sighed which made Nol and Jaemin laugh. "Pero sige, I think rice meals will do good as back up?" The three of them nodded. "Oh edi ano?"

"Teka, kakaisip pa lang." Nol rebutted.

"Ah, sorry sorry." Kanya-kanya naman kaming labas ng phones para mag-search ng mga rice meals from different countries since yun naman ang pinaka-focus ng midterms.

Jaemin showed us what he searched, "How about curry?"

"Yeah, pwede, since puro Western-originated yung meals natin." Nol said while nodding so in the end, all of us agreed.
