"You know something, I don't even have time to eat dinner, though I had dinner with you. And I wouldn't let my P.A leave me alone, yet I was here all alone with you and you have any idea why I am doing these stuffs?" he paused for a moment, glancing at me and I knitted my brows together as my inner me wanted to ask the same questions. "Because my daughter is my everything. I will do anything for her!"

I thought businessmen and actors do not care about their children but he proved my thought wrong.

"So take it in your mind that I'm doing these things only for my baby girl. Other than that I don't even care about whether you're alive or dead." he stated as a matter of fact.

I scowled, biting my lower lip not wanting to show him that his words hurt me. As I remained quiet, he continued. "And your payment will be-"

"We will talk about this tomorrow, sir." I said breathlessly and exited the room without expecting any reply from him.

How could someone has two faces? Which side of Christian is real and which is fake?

When I headed to my room I locked the door and sat on the bed, hugging my knees and recalled the words he said earlier which were still echoing in my ears.

I rubbed my eyes as I heard continuous knock on my door. I got up, cursing underneath my breath and opened the door to welcome the cheerful Hayden. He extended the coffee cup with a saucer and I grabbed it from him, smiling gratefully.

"Good morning miss White! You are already five minutes late and I can see still you aren't ready, so please make haste because Mr.Roberts is waiting for you. And today you're going to introduce yourself to Miss roberts." he said and I nodded before closing the door.

I guess, even if I did get a degree for how to be a nanny, that wouldnt be enough for this.. babysitting job.

I drank the coffee in one gulp and dashed into the bathroom and brushed my teeth and had a quick shower as fast as I could. Then I wore my favourite yellow-coloured knee length summer dress as it was my first day.

I came out of the bathroom and dried my damp hair with the hair dryer and applied mascara and red coloured lipstick before heading out. A guard led the way and when I stepped out of the elevator I instantly noticed Christian, whose back figure was facing my direction.

"Good morning sir." I greeted and he turned back and frowned when he saw me.

"Do you want me to wait until you come? you are working under me. not the other way around.." he said through his clenched teeth and I nodded curtly, mentally rolling my eyes.

When we came to Chloe's room he gestured at Hayden to stay outside and met my gaze nodding at me to go inside first. As I did so, we noticed that cute girl was watching some girlish cartoons on TV with a huge grin on her face.
