Chapter 29: The Trip to Moonlit Forest [1]

I quickly shook my head, and crossed my arms, "Actually, none. It was, uhmm. . . normal for anyone to say that they are afraid of losing someone," I said as I kept myself not to stammer in front of her or else. . .

Miya chuckled half-heartedly, as she shove her hair behind her ear with some dishwashing soap on her hands, "But this one, it's a different case." She then shot me a glance and winked at me, which made me avert my gaze from her and took a deep breath. I emphatically closed my eyes, thinking some ideas that will divert that topic. . .

I gulped and asked, "So, when's the trip?" Miya chuckled as she was rinsing the plates thoroughly, "As soon as Prince Aurelius wakes up. And-oh! Princess Silvanna won't be joining the trip, she told me that she will be busy for the next week." Said Miya as she took a clean white cloth from the small wall cabinet above the kitchen sink and gently dampened the plates to dry. She then places the plates on the plate rack.

"Since I'm done, I gotta go talk to Nana and Harith. Well, see you later, Les!" Said Miya, waving goodbye, as she walked away from the kitchen. And there I was, left alone. I then sighed as I decided to go back to the clinic.

As I reached the clinic, I carefully opened the door. . . and there I saw Granger, who was still sleeping. I shook my head as I went to his spot, I sat at the edge of the bed, then I reached out for his head, slowly caressing his hair. His jet-black locks with some white hair strands made him look unique, and it definitely suits him.

I can hear him groaning by the time I caressed his hair, I was taken aback as he was slowly looking upon me with his dreamy eyes. I couldn't help but smile at him as my hand went down to his cheek. And it's a good thing he did not protest which I found cute.

"You must be really tired," I said as I stifle a chuckle, he then gave me his usual cold look and nodded, his dreamy eyes were really attractive. . . it's a beautiful sight but honestly, I can't stare at his eyes any longer as I felt his alizarin crimson eyes were like sucking my soul. . .

I felt his hand on mine, softly holding it. I couldn't help but blush, "Lay down, Miss Vance," He whispered in a husky voice, which sent chills down to my spine.

"Why is that?" I asked as I cocked my head to the right, he then gave me a look, he did not respond, which made me feel uneasy. So I decided to follow what he said. I carefully lay down the bed, he then moved the stool closer to me as he leaned on me and slowly wrapped his arms around my waist, and he buried his face on my shoulder, "Let's just. . . stay like this for a while." He whispered which made me flustered. His hair was poking my cheeks softly which tickles me.

I almost flinched as the door opened and there I saw the Moon Elf King, Estes, looking at us in awe! I looked away in embarrassment, and he did the same, "I, uh. . . I deeply apologize to disturb the sweet moment that you guys were having, I'll take my leave." Estes laughed awkwardly as he quickly shut the door and left. I sighed and deeply chuckled at his reaction by the time he saw me and Granger cuddling.

The warmth of his arms made me feel comfortable, his head on my shoulder made me flustered even more! Oh, dear Gord! Help me! This sweet side of him makes me want to explode, damn.

Minutes passed, I glanced at him, and there he was, sleeping soundly. . . I then chuckled and rested my head in his as I felt my eyes were closing and drifted off to a dreamless sleep.

Third Person

Miya went to the hallway and there she saw Nana and Harith discussing something from the distance, as Miya went to their spot, the two leonins waved at her, "Miya! We are talking about the trip to the Moonlit Forest and this is gonna be so exciting!" Nana squealed in joy as she hopped in circles on the ground which made Harith laugh at her cuteness.

"Really exciting! And oh, we need to talk about this with Estes-and yeah, there he is!" Said Harith while pointing at the dumbfounded Estes, walking towards their direction.

Miya squinted her eyes, 'This is unusual,' Miya thought as she slowly walked to Estes, "Are you okay?" Miya snapped her fingers which made Estes flinch and shook his head to get rid of his unusual thoughts.

"Y-Yeah, I'm okay," Said Estes as he averted his gaze and took a deep breath, Miya then looked at him in disbelief, "Okay. . .?"

"So, about the trip to our home, the chevaliers were invited except for the princess. She's not coming," Said Miya as she put her hands on her waist, Estes then looked at her in confusion, "Why?" He asked with a long face.

"She was busy and she told me that she can't leave the castle, especially her parents alone, and also the prince. . ." Miya briefly explained which made the Moon Elf King nod in sadness, "Alright,"

"And oh, Lesley's awake, I just saw her went to the kitchen," Said Miya which made Estes widen his eyes, "Yeah, I know," He said as he looked away, which she found really weird.

"I know there's something's wrong with you, please do tell. . ." Said Miya which made Estes sigh and answer, "Well, it's just that-" He paused for a moment which made Miya felt a little impatient.

"What?" She asked, then Estes continued. . .

"Granger and Lesley, I just saw them cuddling a while ago-" Estes got cut off by Nana's loud squeal which made everyone in the hallway covered their ears! Harith grimaced, "Nana, keep it down, will you?" He said in a soft voice which made Nana feel embarrassed, she couldn't help but squeal at the lovebirds' sweetness.

Nana mumbled sorry as she hid behind Miya in embarrassment, the three chuckled. "Harith," Miya called.

"Yes?"

"Tell the princess that Lesley's now awake, Nana, Estes, and I will be discussing something about the trip to our home," Said Miya, Harith then raised his hand for a salute, "On it!" He said as he dashed through the hallway.

"So, let's go?" Miya said as she let out a smile, the two smiled back as they followed her.
