Kai could feel the stares of her three friends on her as she rid her dagger free of the blood from the fire nation soldier, using the end of her dress. She forced herself not to meet their gaze, feeling a mixture of annoyance and guilt. Not for killing the soldier, she knew he deserved it. She felt guilty for the way they were looking at her. Like she was a completely different person. Like they made a mistake letting her travel with them.

Kai sighed softly as she put the dagger in its designated spot in her boot. Still avoiding their obvious stares, she let her eyes take in her surroundings. They were high up that's for sure, something Kai wasn't used to, but she didn't hate it, she actually found it peaceful. Her eyes closed as she felt the gentle breeze whip through the pieces of hair that managed to escape her braid, her peaceful moment was then ruined when she continued to feel their eyes on her. Kai whipped her head towards them.

"What?!" she snapped.

She almost regretted it when they all looked guilty at their laps.

Almost.

Kai sighed as she ran a hand down her face.

"Look if you're gonna give me a lecture about how 'killing people is bad', I'm really not in the mood, alright?" she said exasperated.

"I'm not gonna lecture you, it's just uh" Aang nervously fiddled with his fingers. "Was it really necessary to kill him?"

Kai scoffed at that.
