A laugh left my mouth. "That's so true." I glanced over at the time and my eyes widened. "Well, I just wanted to check in to make sure that everything was alright. I have to be at the restaurant soon."

"Have fun, Khlo! You and Hayden are honestly so cute. Your relationship is only what I could wish for."

"Awh," A stupid smile emerged onto my lips as I heard Ariana's kind words. "That's so sweet, but you're a stunning girl, Ariana, and besides you and Aiden—"

Before I could even finish my sentence Ariana cut me off. "That would be so messed up if you think about it. I know that Ashlynn and I aren't friends anymore, but oh my gosh she would freak out. But anyways, Aiden just sees me as his friend." Ariana added quickly.

I tilted my head to the side. "But is that how you see him?"

"I think you're going to be late, Khloe! Bye girl." Ariana practically yelled, and then just as quickly as she spoke she hung up the phone and I let out a loud laugh.

Sure, Aiden and Ariana together could be slightly awkward, but they seem so happy when they're around each other.

I just want the people that I care about to be happy.

"What are you laughing about?"

I looked up to see Andrew standing by my door.

I shook my head. "I was just on the phone with Ariana, you know, the girl I was talking about. Recently we've become much closer."

"That's great." Andrew nodded his head. "You look great, Khloe. I hope you have fun with Hayden and his family tonight."

As I looked up at Andrew I could see that he was either stressed out or sad, and I knew it was because of Alicia's diagnosis.

"I hate seeing you like this." I stood up and walked closer towards where Andrew was standing. "Although I am very grateful to have an amazing father, you are an amazing man and you were there for my mom when she was going through a hard time." I paused, "You and Alicia opened your home to us and I am forever grateful for that." I smiled sadly. "I don't know if I've ever said this but thank you for just being you. I do consider you as my second dad."

I couldn't even explain the expression that was on Andrew's face, but he looked like he was in physical pain. "Andrew, are you okay?" I questioned, with concern.

His facial expression almost made me want to laugh in the strangest way.

"That is the nicest thing that anyone has ever said to me before." Andrew smiled brightly. "I love you and your mom so much, Khloe. You already know we're family, and I consider you as my daughter. I know that you're not comfortable calling me dad because you already have an amazing one, but I just wanted to say that as well. I look at you as my daughter and I'm grateful for you and your mom. You are both strong women."

I opened my arms for a hug and Andrew wrapped his arms around my body tightly. "I love you! Everything will be okay with Alicia. Trust me, I know how it feels. When I heard Luna's diagnosis my heart broke."

Andrew pulled away slowly, "I'm sorry about your sister, Khloe. But actually, your mother was talking about her the other day. She's doing slightly better mentally, and she would like to see you sometime."

I thought back to the last time that I secretly went to go see Luna, and I remembered how cold-hearted she was. She was like a completely different person in front of my eyes. It was like my sister was completely gone.

"I do hope that Luna is doing better, and I would like to see her again, when I'm ready though."

"Of course." Andrew nodded his head. "Only when you're ready, don't feel pressured into doing anything." Andrew lightly smiled.
