Your eyes glanced over at Connor, seeing him in thought, making you now curious.
"Your CBD intake is high, [Y/N]." He analyzes, your arm twitched a bit as you rubbed it. Slight shame filled your throat.
"Why does it matter?" You huffed, not trying to sound rude. It had just come out that way. You grabbed the remote, turning up the volume as it began to echo a bit.
"With your current state along with your stress levels, there's about a 25% chance you'll begin to panic." Connor said, his LED glowing a yellow and red hue. It was true, it had happened before.
You grew silent once again, you did that a lot when you were upset or scared. You were definitely scared that you'd have a panic attack, it happened a lot before Connor had came along into your life.
He tilted his head forward, analyzing you again. Although it wasn't anything to do with your state. Connor was studying your features, taking in the perfection- wait- why was he doing that in the first place? He wasn't sure, he just knew that something about you had always made his robotic heart race. Connor had always loved making you happy, comforting you, laughing with you. Everything you did together made him..happy.
He wasn't sure if he could say the same for you, but he hoped he could. It definitely hurt him when he saw you upset due to the fighting. Though it wasn't his house, he couldn't bring himself to tear the parents apart by contacting police. Connor couldn't bear to see you upset at him for that.
You began to let the tears fall again, now your shaking grew as so did your heart rate. Connor snapped out of his daze, doing what he had known best.
His arms wrapped around your frame, bringing you into a sweet and gentle hug, hoping that he would help.
Your pupils dilated, trying to catch onto what the android was doing. You let a shaky breath leave your lips as you hugged him back.
"I'm sorry I'm so fucked up, Connor- I'm sorry you have to deal with my bullshit." You poured out, growing more saddened as you shook. Making Connor rub circles on your back.
"I'm sorry I'm such a damn failure." You finished, practically making Connor snap.
He released from the hug, making you scared of what he might say, you pulled back. He only gave you a scared look. Connor was shocked that you had said that, he knew damn well that you were not a failure.
"What makes you think that?" He asked slowly, not sure if it was the best thing to ask. Your lip shook, as you glanced away from him, too embarrassed to make eye contact.
"I do. It's my fault I think this way. It's my fault my parents fight. It's always my fucking fault. I still don't see why you haven't ran away, this home is terrible. You'd be better off in a healthy home." You admitted, your tears blurring your vision. Although you had gone off a bit from his question, you had answered it well enough.
Connor was speechless, his LED now flashing red.
"You and your family may have their flaws, not that I think it's okay that your parents fight and put you through this, but this home is perfect for me. You live here and that'd be all I need." He spilled, growing a bit emotional. Your eyes widened a bit, making you feel terrible for assuming that he had hated it here.
A large crash had been heard throughout the house, as you heard the front door slam. The loud sounds made you jump as you had finally, finally broke for real. Your seemingly tough exterior that Connor would normally see had been broken. You were weak and vulnerable.
He immediately frowned, grabbing ahold of you again as he analyzed you once more. Your stress levels were scarily high. He grew nervous and tense, his synthetic-skinned hand reaching for your jaw as he wiped the tears that now stung your stained cheeks.
He hushed you, making your body and face flair up with a light red hue. His soothing words hitting your eardrums like soft music. Your shaking ceased, although your twitches and weightless feel had stayed put. Connor smiled softly, a light blue hue tinted his cheeks. You only gave the same reaction, wiping away more tears.
"Thank you, Connor, I really don't know what I'd do without you." You sighed, now holding him tighter.
Connor only hummed a reply, he was stuck on what he should do. The moment you and him were having made him want it to stay forever. It was peaceful, even if the shouting had subsided. Meaning that they had finally stopped their fighting.
You were also unsure on what to do, it hadn't been the best time to do something romantic. Not even romantic, even telling him how you had felt seemed rushed or forced.
So you two had continued to hug, your embraces soft and careful as if the other was a small animal that needed to be cared for.
Your confession would've had to wait, as Connor was waiting the same.
