THE CAMERON RESIDENCE

"What are you doing?" Wheezie asks, jumping on the bed.

"Tossing this crap." Rafe says, throwing John B's stuff.

"That's John B's." Wheezie says,

"Yeah, well, I don't think he's gonna be by anytime soon to pick it up, so." Rafe says.

"Why?" Wheezie asks, nosy.

"Did you say why?" Rafe asks. Wheezie nods.

"They didn't tell you?" Rafe asks.

"Nobody tells me anything." Wheezie says,

"Uhm, so John B killed Sheriff Peterkin." Rafe says.

"What?" Wheezie asks.

"Yeah. Are you smiling right now?" Rafe asks.

"Yeah." Wheezie says, laughing.

"I'm not joking. Like this isn't a game." Rafe says, pretending to throw something at Wheezie but she doesn't flinch.

"I don't know why you're smiling, okay? Look at me. I saw it with my own two eyes, alright? He shot her. And then you know what he did? He tried to shoot dad, but I stepped in and I stopped him, right?" Rafe asks.

"Why would John B wanna kill dad?" Wheezie asks.

"Because um he thinks dad killed his father." Rafe says.

"He wants vengeance." Wheezie concludes.

"Oh yeah, I don't know. I'm telling you, he's.. he's a maniac." Rafe says.
