~||Chapter 5||~

~||3rd P.O.V||~

Inko sat in the living room, trembling with worry as she tried to wait patiently for the phone to ring.

 Her eyes constantly flickered to the clock on the wall as it ticked, almost teasing her with how slow it seemed it was going. Just then, the phone began to ring. Inko rapidly got up and hurried towards the landline, almost tripping over air in the process. After a few moments of tripping over her feet and almost falling down, she finally picked up the phone.

"H-Hello.....?"

"Excuse me ma'am, are you the one who reported your son had gone missing yesterday?"

Inko breathed out before replying.

"Y-Yes....Have you found him....?"

She could hear a sigh on the other side.

"We have both good news and bad news concerning your son, ma'am."

Inko gulped as she shakily asked.

"W-What's the good news.....?"

"The good news would be that we found your son. However, the bad news concerns the state we found him in."

Inko's breath hitched as she gripped the phone tightly.

"I-Is he okay...?"

She could hear another sigh and as she heard the next words her entire world crumbled to pieces.

"I'm very sorry to say this but it seems your son has committed suicide. We found his body in front of 'Aldera Middle School'. Our forensic scientists have checked over his body and it seems he jumped last night. My deepest condolences to you, ma'am. You can come and claim the body today if you want."

The phone had slipped from Inko's hand and was hanging by its cord. Inko's eyes glazed over as she fell on her knees.

"M-My Izuku..... Is gone....?"

~||With the Bakugou's||~

"Shut it, old hag!!!"

Mitsuki pulled Bakugou's ear.

"Is that how you're supposed to talk to your mother, you peice of shit?!"

Masaru watched his wife and son fight for the 20th time that day.

"Calm down, you tw-"

Suddenly, the phone rang stopping Masaru's sentence mid-way. Mitsuki let go of Bakugou's ear and walked towards the ringing phone before picking it up.

"Hello, This is the Bakugou's residence."

Just then, Mitsuki heard a sob from the other side.

"Hello?"

"M-Mitsuki... I've f-failed *sob* as a m-mother...*sob*.."

Mitsuki panicked at Inko's shaky and trembling voice as the latter sobbed out.

"I've failed him.... *sob*..."
